Ahaban stands, "Excuse me." He says not wanting to interrupt.

@@AmberDust

Looking to the mare duo he approaches.

"This has been a miraculous event. " he says in congratulations.

"Are you two enjoying yourselves?" He asks, it was rather odd asking about their hosting party, but it was just habitual to check upon his fellow ponies.

Novel couldn't believe this was happening to her. Actual conversation on a verity of things. She was loving it. Her ears twitched more and looked up at the new guest with surprise. "Y-yes" she is slightly shocked "yes I uh spend most of my time reading in the library. I enjoy stories" Novel couldn't help but fumble over her words a bit. Too many ponies around her but oddly she wasn't as afraid as she thought. But even in addition to this, the politeness of the stallion startled her slightly.

@@strideralchemy,

The stallion would chuckle softly before offering, "Well then you are in luck Miss Novel, a lovely mare such as yourself sees before you a traveler of Equestria and the lands around about... as well as a storyteller with a special talent for bringing a story to life." His words were not in pride, but an amused tone of a confidant stallion with a passion for stories and discovery as well, and he was glad to find another pony who perhaps shared his interest. Yet he did note how the mare seemed uncertain and inexperienced in conversing with others.

Novel looked with interest "Clarify what you mean by bringing stories to life." She was very curious. He has a very polite tone maybe with a hint of ego. She heard the amusement in his voice, taking note of that. Novel was interested in the stallion's proud statement and the confident in his abilities, something she definitely was lacking. Maybe she could learn something new from the supposed traveler.

@@strideralchemy,

"Oh of course," the stallion would say before realizing something and saying in a more embarrassed tone, "but first I have just realized I have not introduce myself. I am Mythos Gray, Canterlot born yet with the heart of a wanderer. Now onto how I bring a story to life... perhaps you know the tale of Starswirl the Bearded and the Beguiling Sirens?"

With such a question Mythos would offer a bow before his horn became aglow as his magic begin creating small illusionary images before them. An grizzled old stallion with a long white beard would appear, with a wizard cloak and hat, facing three pony-like figures of blue, purple, and blue. Images of musical notes would appear by the three figures, with a blast of magic from the horn of the mage before the unicorn says, "of how the great mage had to resist the dangerous songs of the sirens, while casting a spell that would allow him to defeat the trio." With such a blue portal would appear, the illusionary figures of the sirens begin sucked into the doorway opened.

With such the magic would begin to fade, leaving only the illusion of Starswirl the Bearded to stand before Novel's face before it too disappear with the old stallion bowing his head before Mythos would finish, "With such the threat was overcome, at least as far as the legends of the great mage offers."

((See you later then))

Novel was in shock. He was literal in his words. She knew the story by heart and he told it swimmingly. Every movement of magic, she followed, her blue eyes sparkling in pure delight. "Mythos Gray where did you learn to tell such a story!" She exclaimed in utter shock and disbelief. Novel was hooked, craving to know more about this talent of his.

"I know that story by heart and never have I ever heard it told with such a realistic tone and imagery to accompany it!" She was going to say more but stopped short, slightly embarrassed at her childish outburst of sorts.

@@strideralchemy,

Mythos would chuckle, a bit surprised but also very pleased with the praise from the mare. Onto her words and questions he would say with perhaps surprising modesty given his confidant tone, "Oh, come now I barely given you anything my dear. I was actually a bit lazy with that story since I was only trying to give you an example of my talent'."

With such words, the unicorn would move to sit next to Novel before explaining as his horn creates the illusion of snow falling from the ceiling, "It took a long time to get where I am now. When I first got my cutiemark, my illusions were like poor crayon drawings of a foal as I told a story to my cousin Sunny to cheer her up. Since then, I have practiced and improved my illusionary magic to better aid me in the telling of stories. To allow ponies to see the story unfold before their eyes as scenes and characters appear before them."

As he says all this color ponies would appear in a snowy scene and begin to play. Two would build a snowpony, the top part falling onto a pony's head before they work together to fix it. Others would begin to throw snowballs, until all was involved and little white balls flew towards one pony to the next. Until finally, the illusionary figures would enter a doorway to a fireplace and share hot chocolate.

Plum's face flushed at the complement, and she let out a shy laugh. Amber smiled calmly.

"Thank you," Plum said. "I am having fun--you too, I hope?" She smiled at Ahaban, instinctively picking up a tray of cookies and offering him one. "I feel sort of overwhelmed by all these ponies," she continued. "I'm not sure who to talk too!"

@@EquestrianScholar

Out of nowhere, snow began to fall from the ceiling.

"What's this...?" Amber lifted her hoof, and watched as the snow shifted right through and disappeared.

"An illusion!" She said, grinning. "Neat party trick."

Novel was speechless. As a unicorn who practices magic herself, this was very detailed imagery. She smiled out of joy, watching the ponies play in the snow. She watches every movement of the snow ponies. Novel could feel the presence of another pony, so she tuned her head "Ah! Plum!" Novel gets up and smiles "This is such a lovely party, thank you for inviting me" She gives a light bow of sorts.

Plum was momentarily distracted from her conversation with Ahaban when she heard somepony call her name. She turned around quickly, still holding the tray of cookies.

"Ah, Novel! You made it!" Plum smiled brightly as her friend approached her. "How are you faring?" She asked, offering a cookie.

((I just want you to keep in mind that the Golden Oak library is currently in ruins. I'm guessing Novel works elsewhere?))

Novel grins in delight "Thank you for inviting me, I'm having a lovely time." She is just beaming at how much fun socializing actually was. She really should get out more often and cannot thank her enough for her invitation to a social gathering.

Plum was happy to see Novel like this. It wasn't often she met a pony more shy than her, but Luna Novel was just that. The broad smile on her face was a rare treat for Plum.

"I'm glad you're having a good time," she said, picking up a cookie. Plum moved to the side slightly so Novel could see who she was talking to.

"This is Amber," Plum said. "I've told you about her, right?" She gestured to the mysterious mare with sapphire mane who had been enjoying the illusory snow. Amber shifted her attention to Novel and smiled gently at her.

"Nice to meet you," she said.

Then Plum gestured to the Arabian stallion, whose eyes were glittering with firelight.

"This is Ahaban," she said.

She nods politely at the two "I've met Ahaban but not Amber, though her name is familiar." She smiles "Pleasure to meet you Amber. Many just call me novel. I run that library from my home at the end of town, since the old one is in utter ruin" She pauses before adding "You're welcome at any time if you's like to stop in and say hello"

Ahaban smiles at conversations around him, glad to see everypony getting along. Taking the.opportunity he trots into the dining hall retrieving another cider drink and quickly consuming it before taking a small apple slice.

Returning back to the.parlor he takes a seat onto one of the furnitures.

The unicorn would pause in saying anything more as he let Novel speak with Plum, watching as a conversation begins between the two and smile as she watched a the bookish mare open up a bit. After a moment  he speak on what the host had said on his snow, "Thank you, it is a good trick isn't it." Mythos would say this with a soft laugh, glad to see the host complementing him on what he had done. It was a fun idea, as it gave the suggestion of being out in the snow without the cold that came with it or the worry of everything inside getting wet.

"Actually, I'm just here visiting," Amber said. She closed her sketchbook. "I might come visit your library though. I'm really not sure how long I'll be staying." The mare gave Plum a sidelong glance and smiled widely. "I might just move in, if Ponyville is all that Plum says it is." She took a sip of hot chocolate and Plum smiled meekly.

"...Have you been living here long?" Amber asked Novel, watching the snow fall delicately around her.

She hushes a little, unsure of how to answer "not really long no, but long enough. I'm from the crystal empire technically, even though I don't have the glistening coat, which is why I left. But I may stay for a while here, since the library is in ruins and every town needs a public library"

Red Cedar smirked, peeking up and around at the illusionary snow."Warmest snowfall indoors I've ever been caught in," he said with a grin, taking another sip of hot cider. "'Course, the fire helps a lot," he added. He resumed sitting comfortably near the fire in view of the real snow falling outside.

Silver Wing, relaxing by the fire, overhears laughter and talking and out of curiosity, walked over to see two new ponies. "When did they get here?" Silver thought to himself, trying to remember seeing them come in.

Realizing he must have zoned out for a little while, Silver wing got up and went over to see how everyone was doing. Being a natural outsider, he stood around and just listened to everypony. He felt more comfortable this way and was even unknowingly smiling at the sight of all the joy everypony was having. He couldnt help but be absolutely fascinated by the snow falling from the ceiling. He had never seen much magic before, and certainly none of this magnitude and real looking. It was a lovely sight indead and quite a complement to the party.

A pegasus flew over the skies of Ponyville having.departed from the mines near by. He looked about finding the streets and.addresses looking for that certain home.

Finally arriving at Plums home he lands about onto the ground approaching and giving a few loud knocks.

Hearing a knocking over the chatter and breaking Silver Wings focus from the snow. Silver trotted over to the door. At first, Silver was a little hesitant, knowing that usually the hostess is the one to allow ponies in. After a second of contemplation and knowing the pony on the ptger end of the door is probably freezing, Silver decided to answer the door for Plum, seeing as she looked quite ingaged in a conversation.

Silver Wing opens the door so see a fellow pegasus standing at the door. "Please come in. My name is Silver Wing. Welcome to the party." Hoping he said it right Silver allowed the pony in and shut the door behind him. "It sure is still cold out there, but it looks as if the storm isn't as strong as it was earlier." The pegasus, who had a faded brown coat and mohawk ginger mane smiled a shemagh around his neck similar to the fellow Arabian pony.

"Marhaben!" He says.in glee.

@@AmberDust,

Silver made his way over to the two hostesses, in the background and fairly unnoticed, as always.  Some might have found it strange that a pony in the Royal Guard, particularly in relatively high ranks, might be so quiet and unremarkable.  After all, commanders and captains wore shiny, bold-colored armor to distinguish themselves from their inferiors, quite often.  But Silver isn't exactly normal, as most ponies who interact with him for more than a few seconds find out for themselves.  And he quite preferred to be in the background, where he can make a difference without having attention called to him -- of the bad OR good variety.

He stood near them until he had won their attention with his presence, and bowed his head slightly in their direction, once for each of them.  "Thank you for hosting this delightful party," he said, very formally.  "It has been my pleasure to attend."

And my superior's pleasure that I attend, as well, he thought.

Silver had been to countless parties, all of them in Canterlot, and none of them really voluntarily.  It showed.

"But I realize that I have not even introduced myself.  I am Silver Shield.  Might I ask your names?"

He paused, then became slightly less formal.

"And...is there something I could do in return?  Perhaps help you clean up?  I am not sure.  However, this party has an atmosphere far more comfortable than any of the parties I have been to, and the food is quite good," he said, not mentioning that he hadn't really eaten all that much.  Not because he didn't think it looked good; he simply did not enjoy eating in public.  Probably a result of being surrounded by ponies who nitpick your every mannerism.

He looked slightly uncomfortable asking this, but not unsure about it.

“What surprises me most?  Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.  Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.  And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
