"Hey I'm not THAT bad." Then he grinned "besides, I can just do this" poof. Suddenly she wasn't wearing anything and Elegron was holding her old clothes. "I think I have something to fix this with...." Elegron began doing his best to repair it. It wasn't armor, but it was similar. After a minute or two he handed it back almost as good as new. "See, it all depends on what mood I'm in" he said smiling.

Lasher looked at Elegron. "Mood? Oh you mean your 'hey look at me, I'm special' mood. Yeah, check" he said rather irritated. "Why don't you become a dress maker or someting? Instead of making everypony angry and want to kill you. Might be better if you want peace".

"Do you ever stop complaining? I'm just Trying to help." Elegron said, slightly irritated. "Helpful mood. And it's about to change real fast."

Elegron saw something wasn't right and pulled out his binoculars. "Rain? Ahh.... Crap. Raves got her. Look" he passed the binoculars to lasher and pointed out where rain was.

Lasher looked through the binoculars and immediately moved into action. "RAVE, I'M COMING FOR YOU YOU SICK BASTARD". He ran, picking up his Anti-Machine Rifle and firing at Rave. The bullets passed through him. Rave looked at Lasher and a creepy smile crept up the shadowy face. "Hello thereeee my deaaarrr Lasheeerrrr".

As Rain stepped outside Rave started to move. He had felt Wade's magic. "That weakling again? The one that pretends to understand dark magic? Bah, he's weak, like he was before he died". Rave was not respectful towards ponies who did not delves as deep as him into dark magic. But that was the Crystal family arrogance. They were perceived as the greatest when it came to dark magic. It was their duty. Rave came up to Rain. He waited until she was behind a set of rocks so that no one in the cave could see her or her scorpion anymore. "Big mistake". A shroud of darkness started to form up behind Rain. It started to creep up towards Rain. Then it snatched Rain and pulled her up to a shadowy face. Rave's face formed and he had one red eye, where he had lost his normal one. "Helloooo thereee Raiiinnnn. Sooooo gooood to seee youu againnnn. Whattt magnificeeent foals you twoooo have producceeeed. Dark Sunnn will becomeee a greattt sorcerorrr. The greatesttt one in all of Equestriaaa". He started to send some of his corrupting magic inside her. The shadow grinned.

 

 

"You! Where is Darksun? Who killed my stallion? I know where you live! ugh, face me like a real stallion!" I said, squirming in his grip. Rex reacted dropping the body and attacking this mysterious darkness not quite sure what to do. I fought his grip until I could escape. In the air now, It almost felt like I was...sick. "I don't what you have done to me but I will not let you get away now! Give me my foal back you creep!" Noticing she was free, Rex quickly signed, 'What about Darkeye?' concerned. "I want Rave's head on a stick if it takes to sacrifice everything else I have!" anger in my voice now.

Elegron decided it was time to end this little game. He stepped out of the shield. "Rave. You tried to destroy the world, you betrayed my trust, and now you hurt my friends. Even in death I shall defeat you!" His horn glowed, and a blinding light went in all directions. Weakness and pain went through rave as the light magic countered his dark magic. "I have learned a lot in ten years, and I prepared for this!"

"Good luckkkk placinnngg it thereee. You willl find ittt harddd as I don'tttt realllyy have a soliddd headdd. Your sooonnn is beeiinggg takenn careeeddd offf, do noootttt worrryyy. He issss receivvvinnggg trainingg. You shouldddd be proudddd. Your soonnn the mosstt powerfulll unicorrrnn in Equestriaaa. It is every motherssss dreammmm". He felt Elegron's light. His voice turned to normal. "You ignorant pony. It was you who betrayed me. I never betrayed anything. I am a pony of my words. You however are the traitor. You forced me to do what I tried to do. And your puny magic won't work. Don't you realize you just stepped out of your protection. I'm on my home turf outside of your protection spell". More darkness surrounded the shadow. The dark magic that was in the air rushed to aid Rave and battered at Elegron. Rave surged with dark energies. "You are now playing my game, little pony". Dark Crystals started to sprout everywhere around the cave. It did not go inside the cave due to the protection. "Ahahahaha".

Elegrons horn glowed. He needed to be powerful. He needed strength. But he didn't have enough.

He looked to his friends. Friends. He pulled out the book that one contained the elements of harmony. Just maybe..... "I have something you don't rave. Far more powerful than any magic you may possess. I give you one last chance, turn back now!" He put the book back in his saddlebag. He didn't need the book. He had a plan. A very stupid plan, but if it worked....

"Don't worry, I've gotten what I was after" he held Darkeye's body in his shadowy grip. "And the elements don't work without the bearers of the elements of harmony. I know history you ignorant foal, I have something that interests me far more. Something that rightfully belongs to the Crystal family. Good bye.... traitor". The shadow retreated into the darkness and was gone with Darkeye's body.

"No! Come Rex I know where that stable of theirs is. We might be able to beat him there." I felt anything but ready at the moment but we spirited away towards the direction of the stable. Rex dodged the crystals sprouting from the ground and kept with me. I felt strange, like something had taken a hold of me, but I didn't have time to worry. Ponyville could be destroyed, hell the whole wasteland and as long as I had Darkeye, I would be happy.

Elegron teleported beside rain "wait! You can't fight him. Not on your own, not in his own home. I promise you we will defeat him and get darkeye yet, but we just can't right now. We need to lure him out during the daytime, I have a plan. If that doesn't work.... I have a plan B but it's stupid" Elegron looked sincerely at rain. He was prepared to stop her if he had too.

"Right, and your trying to say what? As you just noticed, my Stallion is gone as well as my foal. This world has little meaning for me unless I can get them back." I sped off before he could catch me towards the Crystal Family Stable. My anger fueling my speed and obsession. I was long gone even leaving Rex behind.

 

'Wait! Rain! Come...back...' He cried some for the first time in his life. Not sure what else to do, he went blank, he knew where the stable was too. He could still make it if he tried hard enough. Why? How can everything turn so wrong so fast? He just stopped then. He knew it was too late.

Rave felt Rain following him. "Leaving your friends and your safety behind. My corruption worked perfectly. Keep on following me. I do want you to meet your son. He will gladly tell you himself that he will not be returning" he thought. The darkness arrived in front of the stable after having flown at immense speed. The stable door opened and in he went. The Stable doors close after him and the turrets went back online.

"Rain!! Damnit!" He stopped. If rain wanted to sacrifice herself, then as much as he hated to say it, that was her call. He started to go back, using light magic to dispel the darkness around him while he made is way back to the cave.

Zac: 'What? She left you? Rex, this should not happen. A Rider is one with her Scorpion, and you shame yourself by not chasing her. You're an Albino. You are strong. Get her back to this place now. She must not go.'

 

Kalus: "How fast cards of fate turn on you. Maybe your hand has been dealt, and it shows desperation and disparate. Life is not kind to you Lightbringer, and it never will be. A constant battle against the natural order that the world has pushed to lead it. You are fated to fight a losing battle, until the day the light of your life is snuffed out like a dying flame. Now everyone return inside. Lest the corruption takes you as it has taken Rain, and so many others before it."

 

Wade: "Despite the past we may have had together, you are to be honoured for your dedication to your cause. That does not mean I no longer want to brutally and savagely murder you in the most violent and disturbing way possible. So what's next for you Lightbringer? What flawed plan has your mind conjured up?"

"In the daytime, light magic is strong, and dark magic is weak. If I fight him in the day outside of his stable, then I will defeat him. But he's not stupid, he knows this. To defeat him at night, we need the elements of harmony." He said, stepping back into the shield. Elegron looked at Kalus "I know I'll die eventually. It's not a matter of life or death, but what I can do with my life before I die."

Leone watched the whole encounter play out from behind the magical barrier that protected her from the immediate threat, she observed the Dark Magic user and how it consumed rain so quickly driving her to madness, she saw Elegron, this pony that everyone had talked so high of tremble at the might of darkness in its home turf. "You cannot beat this type of dark magic with just light Elegron." She concluded after seeing everything as it played out and then added "Also, you need to enchant something that is special to you with light, or you will be driven mad like Rain."

Lasher stepped back into the cave. He looked very angry. He pointed a hoof at Elegron. "You let him get away. Now he will have holed up somewhere safe where I won't be able to get my revenge. Rarghhh" he kicked with his rear hooves at some rocks within the cave and cracks appeared on it. 

 

Scar looked at Darkeye's body. "What are you doing with my kill inside the Stable?". "Just going to extract something very precious".

"Hah, you think turrets will stop me!" I dodged the incoming flak attaching explosives to each of the turrets blowing them up in sequence. "I miss the sound of my fireworks, It has been too long. Way too long." I then proceeded to pull something I had made a long time ago. It wasn't your normal explosive, but an untested stable breaching bomb, the only problem was that it took a minute to set up. Someone distracting me would make it almost impossible to set the device up properly. I wasn't sure how aware they were but I had to act fast if I wanted to make this work. I began to attach the components to the stable door now. Only two minutes away from seeing you my son. Just you wait.

 

'I will redeem myself even if it kills me. Thank you Zac. I will never dishonour myself again.' I left going quickly as I could manage. I heard gunfire and explosions in the distance as I got closer. 'Damn that dark spirit for making things worse.' I could only hope I wasn't too late.

The door to the Stable opened and out walked Dark Sun with Dark Horn beside him. "Mother, what are you doing here? I'm being trained here. I don't want to be disturbed. I'm going to become the most powerful unicorn in all of Equestria. Rave has already taught me so many things" he lifted his hooves smiling, with a dreamlike face. "I need to continue with my training if I want to become the best".

"Here, let me help" Elegron teleported Rex as close as he could to rain, which was pretty close. "Wow. scorpions are great, I should get one for myself. Think you could teach me the basics cryssi?"

Greenleaves was doing her best to calm down lasher "hey, we will fight him when we can, but he's too powerful at night"

Leone knew things would get nasty real soon, she removed her helmet, her mostly crimson mane flowing out with black stripes here and there and looked at Elegron dead in the eyes "Elegron I'm gonna ask a favor of you, and you're gonna have to trust me on this one." She paused a moment and continued "I'm gonna need you to blast my fusion core with your strongest light spell ever, and please you are going to have to be happy as you do it."

 

Without a moment to lose she manipulated her suit to open on the side just enough to expose the suits core and at the same time administered a MedX, she knew that this was going to hurt a lot and if it worked she would have successfully infused light magic into the suit "Just try to concentrate the blast to the core, please." she said with a smile at Elegron.

"Your safe! Thank Luna....." Trying to regain some composure now, I wanted to cry but I held back. It would only make everything else run free as well. "I need you to come home okay. What reasonable pony takes you away from your parents to train you in something so...unnatural. They don't even allow me to see you! Night moon and Violet are worried sick about you. I don't know what they told you but you don't understand enough to make this choice yet." I looked at Dark Horn. "What right do you have taking him away from me? I gave birth to him, I have enough to deal with without you taking my foal away from me. Let him make his choice when he is older, kids cannot give consent for their own future."

 

I made my way but initially wanted to hold back. She looked okay for now anyway. I wanted her to have her moment. I would be there if she needed me. Hiding behind some wreakage, I would be there if she needed me but stayed out of sight in the darkness.

Elegron was confused by Leones request "Ummm... Ok....." His horn glowed brightly, several layers of overglow forming "don't blame me when you break a few bones." Elegron shot a blast of light magic at the core. It was a very wide beam, but he condensed it before it could cause permanent damage, striking the core dead on.

Dark Horn looked at Rain amused. "He has reached the age when he can fire his own gun. He has reached the age when he can start the training. It is a Crystal tradition". "He's right mother. This is what I want. This way, I will be able to help the WPS. This way, I will be useful, this way I will become powerful" he said grinning. His horn glowed dark and some dark crystals grew from the earth. "I will become the strongest, the best, the most feared and loved pony in Equestria. I will be the head of the Crystal family and I will receive the horn of Sombra as my personal weapon after I complete my training" purple smoke came from his eyes. He was heavily infused with dark magic. "I'M NOT COMING HOME AND YOU CAN'T MAKE ME" to emphasize his point, dark crystals grew in front of him, creating a barrier between Rain and him.
