Blackheart had been quiet the entire time. He didn't really know what to talk about with the others so he just sat crossed legged with his swords on his lap. He stared down at them and examined them. To appearances it looked like Blackheart was just looking at his blades, but he was actually listening to everyone else's conversation.

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that about your parents. I should consider myself lucky." Cosmic paused to think. "Assured Gambit? The name rings a bell, but I don't really remember him. Oh, well... I'm not always the best with names. Speaking of siblings, I have a little sister. She gave this to me a few years back." Cosmic felt around in a pocket in his uniform and pulled out a dark blue watch with a space-themed background. "Doesn't really fit with my color well, but it's still awesome."

Cosmic then looked up to the senior medic. "I assume you're the senior?" He said, looking back down to Faithful. "I'm Cosmic Flare, weapon specialist." He offered his routine hand. "Glad we have two medics. You can never really have too many doctors, am I right?"

@@FractalMoon,

"Don't worry, we should be fine. Any physical support we may need to defend ourselves either comes from you and our other weapons specialist, or from me and my magic. We won't be needing any extra help from the Citadel. And what the surface looks like? You can always look at one of those windows, or wait till we're actually on the ground."

Sai gave a small smile to Frozen, intending to calm her fidgetness and worry. Sai did also purposely skip over answering the first question though, she didn't know where she was going to find the artifact till she got on the ground, and there was no need to worry an officer with information that could worry her.

"Just wanted to introduce myself. It's nice to meet you." He smiled.

"If you need any assistance. Just let me know." He assured, thankful a little slightly she wasn't exactly a senior experienced field medic, yet at the same contradicting his relief. No, he shouldn't be thinking that. This was a team effort.

He took back his seat which was across from Faith.

@,

Frozen lets out a small sigh, "Ma'am, with all due respect, unless your magic is a lot more powerful than it suggests, we're not prepared for a fight with a large or hardened target. Our launchers will hit hard, but not like a tank or gunship would, or even just putting a couple of 40 mil rotary cannons on the dropship. I have faith in our ability to successfully resolve small conflicts, but not a big one... " She shifts her weight from one foot to the other, feeling like she is missing a critical piece of the puzzle.

@@FractalMoon,

"Miss Frozen, my magic is quite powerful. I am a high Librarian, and I have faith with what this squad can accomplish. And I also don't expect too much trouble from anything that is going to need a bullet to stop it. Even though this is not a normal reconnaissance mission, I don't see this mission going wrong, it is a lot like a normal retrieval mission."

Sai did her best to keep Frozen's worries at bay, and really it was all she could tell her, Sai didn't think anything else she could say would make the mare feel any better.

Blackheart felt uncomfortable. He wished that they would soon land. He was eager to retrieve this artifact, knowledge was power and power in the hands of the enemy meant bad news for the rangers and the rest of the races on the citadel. He wanted to ask how much longer the trip was, but couldn't really bring himself to speak out. He didn't know anypony here very well and it made him feel awkward, so he continued his silence. He did however, sheathe his blades and look around at the others, quietly observing them.

Frozen sighs, "Yes ma'am, whatever you say. I trust the team, but I still have my reservations about this mission. I mean, I don't have a choice whether to do it or not, but I'm not sure we're exactly sure what we're getting into... Does anyone have a way for us to contact the Citadel if we do wind up needing heavier support?" She asks curiously, just wanting to make sure that they're going to be safe in case things go badly.

Rusty grinned even wider, and took Agnus' hand. "This is so cool, I'm teaching a robot things!" Her grin suddenly disappeared, as she stammered to correct herself. "Not- not that you don't already know... things, and of COURSE not to diminish your... um... equinity... SO! Where are we going?" She fidgeted in her seat, sorely hoping he hadn't noticed that slip up.

Blackheart did some stretches while sitting down before getting up and stretching out his arms and legs. He made sure to get the blood flowing properly. In his position in the squad, he needed to be fast. He didn't need a muscle tearing or cramping on him in the middle of a fight, if there were to be one, that is. He twisted his torso and cracked his back and then popped his neck. After a few moments Blackheart was loosened up. If anything it was something to do while he waited other than listening to the other speak. He was going to suggest that the others should probably stretch as well, but again he hesitated and continued to remain silent. He cursed himself for not having the guts to talk to the others.  Socializing wasn't his strong suit, but fighting on the other hand was something he knew quite well.

" I don't know the exact location, you are going to have to ask the Librarian on that one." Agnus said, not minding the slight slip up Rusty had earlier. " So, Rusty, you seem too know me, ,ay I ask about yourself ? It is good to know about team mates, no ?" Agnus asked, tilting it's head slightly to the left.

While he talked a small ping from his system manager notified him that all systems were at 100 percent, and that his battle programming was good to go. In other words, all lights green across the board. Hopefully, his scientific and mechanical expertise would be needed on this current mission.

"To be honest, I just knew I was gonna be working for you." Rusty shrugged a little bit. "I didn't expect a whole lot of this, I kinda skimmed the poster." She realized what she just said, and fell silent. She had ABSOLUTELY no idea what was going on. This might actually be dangerous!

She suddenly let out a laugh. "In for a bit, in for a pound, I suppose!"

@,

@@FractalMoon,

Fixit hadn't been paying much attention to the conversation thus far. He had been more occupied with the rifle in his hands, a contraption whose engineering was beyond his area of expertise. Fixit was a mechanical engineer. His specialty was physical machines, large or small, that worked through the manipulation of forces. He could talk all day about the operation of the Citadel's inner workings, the engines that kept both aircraft and the Citadel aloft, and he could even tell you a little about thr ancient times, when great ships had traversed the land by way of rail - "trains", he believed they were called. But this thing - this gun - ran on magic. And Fixit did not have the faintest idea where to start with that.

Much like this squad of rangers, come to think of it. Where to start with the Team Integration Effort? The mare giggling with the automaton across the ship seemed to have a passion for technology, but she was far too bubbly and would probably try to get chummy. Not that Fixit minded chummy per se; he simply didn't appreciate people he barely knew treating him as a long-lost friend. The team leader - Sai, if he remembered the dossier - might make for intriguing conversation, being a Librarian and as such a custodian of all sorts of interesting knowledge... But she was also a changeling, and not so talkative herself. Fixit had nothing against changelings. They just... Well, it was difficult to trust someone who could change their face at will. They could become anyone or anything. Where was the constance? Did that person undergo fundamental change with every new physical incarnation? Did that person even have a concept of self?

Perhaps he should find out.

Fixit unclipped his harness for the nonce and stood. He slung the rectangular battle rifle over his shoulder and strode to the front of the craft where the Librarian stood. She appeared to be already engaged in conversation with the team weapon specialist (her regulation armament giving her away). Instead of interrupting, Fixit sidled up to the pair and have them both a respectful nod.

Cosmic's eyes followed Fixit as he rose from his seat and moved towards the Librarian. His eyes traced Fixit until he came to a stop by their leader. It was only then that Cosmic remembered that the leader was, in fact, a changeling. Cosmic's eyes did widen a little, but only to get a better look at their commander. She seemed to look just like the rest of the passengers, but he had saw in the dossier that her race was, in fact, "changeling." This didn't really bother Cosmic - rather, it fascinated him. He too rose from his seat next to the young medic and approached the leader, trying to form questions in his mind about her race that wouldn't offend or anger her. Hopefully, he didn't get the Librarian to hate him. Perhaps he would just listen in on the Titan's exchange with her.

Bulawayo returned back to the holoscreen, tapping along the dossier he pulls up the bios of the squad. Just simply reviewing medical histories.

He sighed slightly, he hated this feeling. He didn't want to uphold the role of doctor.no choice left.

He returned to the map screen and watched the glove spin.

"The planet everyone once called home."

Faith would've answered Cosmic. Told him that the watch suited him fine, but he got up. That was fine, she guessed. She was so quiet, inexperienced and probably just seemed like a little girl who didn't know what she was in for. They couldn't be more wrong. She was in fact quiet, inexperienced and completely aware of what she was in for. Those...things. They never told her what they were, but they claimed her parents and they might've got Gambit, too.

She started mumbling something under her breath, fiddling with her crystal. Safe to say she was nervous, made worse by the fact that she didn't know anyone here, but she also didn't want to feel alone. And right now, she felt very alone.

"Are you okay?" He asks in a sympathizing tone. Being the medic doesn't mean all about being physical injuries. Mother always told,

"The mind and feelings of a pony is just as important as, the body."

He noticed about the crystal fiddling in her hoof. He decided to hold off on other questions.

"Y-yeah... I-I'm fine. F-first-time nerves, I guess..." She said, though that wasn't everything. She wanted to reach out to the others, to try and make a friend, but she just felt so nervous. Whatever she'd been mumbling to herself wasn't working, so she didn't have much choice. She had to try and reach out to someone. And the senior medic seemed like the best option right now, given their similar jobs. "Um... what's your name?"

"Well, Dangerous or not, you have several heavily armed personell around you to protect you should anything get hostile. Just be careful and stick close to me" Agnus gave a reassuring smile, or at least what many people called that. It knew that they were bound to get into some kind of crazy situation, but at least they could be prepared to face it. Agnus was ready for anything, or so it would like to think.

Sai had a little surprise when three members of the team ended up talking to her, though Frozen had stopped talk and another pony took the lead.
Sai nodded, as she didn't know the new pony's name nor position in order to respond in the greeting he gave her and the other. Though from what he said, Sai was able to gather that the other pony to join herself and Frozen must have been the other weapons specialist that was meant to be on the team.

"I believe we're doing alright."

Blackheart sighed and shook his head. He now had his arms crossed and was leaning against one of the gunship's inner walls. He was becoming a bit impatient and he was still frustrated with himself that he didn't know how to approach any of his other comrades in arms. He did notice that some of the others were also somewhat shy, but most seemed ready to burst into conversation. From his place against the wall, he could see just about everypony or at least almost everypony conversing. He shook his head again and decided to look out a nearby window and watched the chaotic surface of what was once their world shift and change.

@,

In her nervousness, Faith felt a small pang of annoyance when the other Medic patted her shoulder. She might be shy and nervous around other ponies, but she hated being treated like a little girl. It didn't show on the outside, but she definitely felt like he was treating her like a scared little girl. "Nice to m-meet you, too. Uh, could you not do that? I don't really like being pitied. I'm socially awkward and nervous around ponies, but that doesn't mean I'm scared of everything."

She stopped herself when she heard her voice rising, as she didn't want to make anyone angry, but she had to say it. Actually, she felt a little better after saying that.

(Posting for Laserbolt while he's away.)

"You bet." Rusty said, less in need of reassurance than others since she was much to hyped about working with a robot. "This is just so cool. I bet we're gonna find all sorts of old tech down there. Do you think anypony else might be a robot?"

Danger, excitement, mystery? This trip was a dream come true. Well, Rusty figured she could do without the danger part, but still! You don't get to go down to the surface every day unless you're a Ranger, and now she was on a mission with a robot. This was just so cool!
