How many "chill" bronies/pegisisters are there in the fandom?

I've been a closet Brony since April, and while it has been an on and off obsession for me, I wouldn't go as far as to say it has changed my life, and even if I weren't a closet fan, I'm not the type to go around advertising that I'm a fan of something. I've been to Brony Can, but I didn't dress up for it or anything. I've been acquiring as much of the media for FiM as possible(dvds, graphic novels, etc.), and own four blind bag ponies, a hand-drawn print by Amy Mebberson, and the fan game Twilight's Secret Shipfic Folder, but it is all hidden away in a box in my closet(a fitting place for a closet Brony to store his pony stuff).

It's not like I don't have anything going on other than FiM. I'm a student who works part time, and while those things don't really define me, I am a Christian and a gamer, and enjoy the occasional table top card game that isn't too difficult to get into. While things have been a little different since I took up such an unusual hobby, life still carries on.

I suppus I fall into the Pegasisters, Though I try to keep it chill, just never seems to go that way, every morning I play "catch up" with the series (all seasons) spend time studying the charactors to understand thier personalities, watch fan fic, read fan fic, etc. Maybe one day I can find my way back to "chill" but for now I am a lost cause.

I am a very chill brony, I am nearly thirty, and a lot of my energy goes into my business, which requires patience and observance, yet even if I were involved more into the fandom, I would still be calm, sort of like Maud Pie reserved. I have no MLP merchandise, I watch the show on Netflix, but I would like to have the DVDs, however, I am more of a fan of the show, than I am of the fandom, unless they are as calm as I am, nevertheless, I have meet bronies my age before, and in college, they were remarkably classy and witty, so if I were to enjoy the show, discus the characters, and draw pony art, I would rather be paired with chill fans, more than anything else.

I guess I could consider myself a "chill" brony. I don't overly obsess about the show, especially in real life.. god no.

I don't have any friends who know I like the show, and nobody knows I'm a brony. I do make VERY subtle references from time to time. There aren't many other bronies that I know of at my school, so I don't talk to anyone about it. I feel like I'll become overly obsessive with the show when season 5 comes out though. :P

I believe "modest" could also fit the bill. The most obsessive ones also tend to be the most proud bronies, don't they? Excessively so, obviously. Everything in moderation.

We have threads here where fan content that isn't your own is posted for the sake of it being seen. Those would be the "Best Cute Pony Pictures" and "Post All of Your Funny Pony Pony Pictures Here"; both found at the Forum Lounge with the MLP Video Masterthread found right here in the Sugarcube Corner section. If you wish to contribute yourself then by all means.

I'd say that I fit into this category as well. For now, anyway, I just stated with the fandom so maybe this will change!

I suppose you could call me "chill". Even though I've been a brony since 2011, you probably wouldn't tell at a first glance.

Anyways, I love the show. I've been following it since early 2012. I also like the fanart, music, animations and a lot of the things the fandom has done. They've created things that are nearly as amazing as what the show has to offer!

I could consider myself one. I have never attended BronyCon because my family just can't afford to go.

I know the feeling. My city has an annual comic con and I haven't been able to go the last couple years because of financial issues. So sad because I really wanted to take a picture with James Marsters and my husband really wanted to see Walter Koenig.

Yeah, I'd consider myself "chill." I'm into it, don't get me wrong, but it's not high on my interest/priority list. From time to time I'll write a fanfiction, or I'll draw something, but I don't dedicate a large amount of time to the fandom.

I'm not very outspoken either way so I guess i'm pretty chill when it comes to being a brony. I watch a couple of episodes every other day.

I also chillax on the forums and talk to other awesome people.

I'm fairly chill myself; if you will. Of course I get involved in the fandom as much as I can, but considering I'm from the southern coal fields of West Virginia  there is only so much I can do. I spend a large chunk of time on the forums, I do RP here as well, I love trying to develop my OC ponies, and I do some other things in regards to the show.

However there are no cons to go to nearby; nor do I know any bronies in this general area. Heck, I don't even know of any others in this state.

But that's fine. I'm also a gamer and I follow other things, so yeah. I don't obssess over FiM, but I love it to death still. :P

  • 4 weeks later...

I have two shirts, I like the show, write fanfics if I have some inspiration, and I might visit a con one day for the fun of it, but I don't have OCs, don't do RPs and definitely no cosplay for me.
