In the meantime three more buildings were brought over by ship and craned into position. They were cemented and connected to the water and heating system in a few hours, waiting for their new owners.

In 2000 years stone can deposit over buildings.... giving one the illusion of it being a mountain. think about it.... in time all this sand were standing on might have compressed and coated the building in stone... maybe we're standing on a canyon... we cant be for sure... Sunny reflected his thrust at the last moment. She didn't see it coming. she slowly walked around him, keeping an eye on him. She couldn't afford to louse her guard. She new she couldn't really match the officer in his skill with the sword. She was mainly trained to fight with her hooves. But she couldn't give up so easily.

 

She then jumped forward and did a long slashing strike.

The long slash gave the officer enough time to setp back, as the sword thrusted by hims, he thrusted, spinning his sword around Suny's. He them made a quick and sudden movement, hitting her sword with such speed that she dropped it. He then pointed the tip of his sword towards the disarmed mare's chest.

She then gave the officer another bow.  "This was interesting. Sorry if I roughed up your boys to mush. I try to hold back as much as I can. But I sometimes let it slip out."

After that she head back to where the carriage was and got in. After brushing off the dirt she got her dress back on and redid her mane.

@@Gloomfury, The captain continued their conversation nearly the whole way to the capitol. They arrived moments just before the Nightingale and it's escort came into view and landed, it's immense size dwarfing everything as always and capturing everyone's attention. They cheered at the return of their Kaiser, who immediately went to his room and read through his messages after giving a short speech on what they had accomplished. They contained blueprints and documents mostly of new devices needing approval. Two stood out however, for one demanded his immediate attention, while the other seemed so simple that he felt it strange that he even had to look over it. It was a pressure plate that could be adjusted for the amount of pressure that needed to be set off. If must have some useful application he thought, and approved it along with the others. The second document that caught his attention was a request to send their new submarine off to see what the naval activity of the supposed threat was, and explained the everything that he had missed while gone. This submarine was very different than it's predecessor, for it had a more sleek look to it, used a steam engine to charge a battery which allowed it to operate underwater without the crew having to crank the propeller. It also could release six large explosives to the surface which exploded on a timer, and more could be reloaded when the submarine surfaced. He was delighted at such progress, and that they could finally discover what those foreigners were on about. He finished looking over the papers then took a quick bath. He had planned to make his stop home very short, for he did not want to leave the emperor waiting. Among his messages, he had found the bottle that was sent and gladly partook in it as he relaxed in the water.

 

The captain got everything about his ship settled, and led the messenger to the palace, where he was signed in as a guest from another nation, given a light blue armband, a room with a view, and told that the Kaiser would be with him as soon as possible, and that his belongings would be kept safe, and returned when he decided to leave and was just outside of the capital. The captain excused himself to tend to his duties and shortly after he was guided to a room with a long table, where the Kaiser waited in a white dress uniform (Not a white dress) and a damp mane. "I've been told that you have a message for me?" he said.

 Flits walked in still with his big grin. "Aye, that I do master Kaiser." He gave a salute. "Flits McCullin of the flying messenger platoon of Quintica, at your service." He then reached into his pouch that was hanging on the front of his kilt. He pulled out a hoof written letter. "The council of five wish to invite you to Quintica." He said as he gave the Kaiser the invitation. "They'd like a chance to get to know you and some of the other nations leaders. Also," He reached into the pouch again and pulled out to hoof rolled cigars." I hope you don't mind that I smuggled these in.  I can't go a day without having at least on of these. Care to shear?" He asked with his normal friendly grin.

The center was lively and full of ponies rushing to work or just walking. It was also the culture capital of the empire full of museums, concert halls and theaters. Guides were organised through the millitary museum, showing all of Ponssias millitary history, from simple iron swords to the newest, deadliest weapons. Stories about the thousands of wars that tainted Ponssian history. The pegasi genocide, the magic inquizition, the crusades against the pagans, the civil wars and all the other expansion campaigns that shaped its society. The art museum, showing masterpieces made by Ponssians through the ages such as Leonardo da Pinci and MIchalneighgelo. She was taken to the huge concerts of Ludwig van Peightoven and Pozzart. The natural sciences museum, the inventors hall... etc. After the tour, Sunny was take back to the palace. The guide told her,

"If you wish you can leave now, or you could wait and return when his majesty departs."

He said as he pulled out a small map from the same mouth before putting one of the cigars in his mouth and putting the other one up.  He unfold the map, which was on of the known world so far. He hold it up to the  Kaiser, pointing out Quinacta. "It's around here."

Sunny thought it over for a bit. She already sent out a letter to till the Dons that the king was coming. Plus she didn't really feel like flying all the way back again. "If it's not too mush trouble I'd like to go with his majesty. I could tell him more about Quinacta and maybe show him around a little when we get there."

No point in getting rid of something that works right. Anyways no point in getting in trouble over something you could have just asked for." He went over to a cabinet and opened a drawer, pulling out a box of cigars. "Take these so no one suspects you smuggled any in, and as a token of gratitude for making such a long flight. I'm sure you were informed on when your belongings would be returned." He goes over to a quill and a small stack of papers and writes a short note. "Give this to to the nice mare at the front desk. Two hundred silver crescents (our currency) will be brought to you so you may purchase any items you see in the local shops while you're here." He began to leave the room and on his way out said, "Feel free to leave whenever you feel like it. If you can't carry all of your belongings we will have them delivered upon my visit. Now if you'll excuse me I have a flight to catch. Good day sir."

the diplomat at the pegasonia port looked at the brightly shinning ship and smiled. He gathered a few other pegasus and flew over to the ship and greeted the crew. " welcome back"

blackfire arrived at the dominion border with 9000 pegasus troops and 7000 unicorn and earth pony troops and 200 cannons and 40 of her naval fleet surrounding dominions water border. Blackfire looked at her troops and said " the time has come to invade the wretched dominion and let us hope that our allies to the north aid us in our effort. now charge." then the soilders charged towards dominion with high moral and spirit in there hearts.

The treasure fleet anchored its self, 10 beautifully painted triremes surrounded the treasure barge, a large flatbed barge with a miniature palace built on top of it, all the ships glowed and shined with all of their decorations and gold, several skiffs  moved around the formation

 

Queen Salazaria came out of the palace to greet the diplomats "Hello!" she was adorned in her most elegant and extravagant armor, her eye patch even replaced with a golden plate with a ruby eye design on it

 

"I am Queen Salazaria, I have come to meet with your leader, I have been waiting for an opportunity to meet with them"

(im guessing some days past... like 1.5 weeks =p... cuz trireming from u to pegasonia shouldve taken quite a lot =p)

 

The port was now a bustling ton. Thousands of Ponssian immigrants (unicorns and earth ponies) flocked in the newly aquired land, outnumbering the native population. They brought technological tools, religious ideas and social customs. Some of the citizens started watching the unicorn - servant issue and started the UAC, UNicorn Awarness campaign, aiming to show the local unicorns that they could live without their masters. Unicorns and Earth ponies alike opened up bbuisnesses such as shops and the first 2 factories started pumping smoke into the air. The city was now about 20, 000 (of which 12,000 immigrants searching for a better life). With the arrival of the new citizens came the Church. Massive cathedrals (Notre Damme  sized) were erected trhougout the city, aiming to urge locals in adopting the true faith, missionaries and priests knocking from door to door. Some of the aristocrats that moved as well (mainly unicorns) opened grand plantations and rich farm estates, while others were now part of the newly Ponssian-established goverment that aimed to run the port. A steady supply of goods was now flowing to the inland fort, which distributed it to Cidonian farmers across the land. New, modern laws were established in the city and were enforced by policeponies, who took no notice if the suspect was Cidonian, Ponssian, pegasi, unicorn or earth pony. They would all be judged the same way and with the same privilages.

"Departure should be in a few days... the imerial voyage takes some time to organise... and i doubt his majesty will be spending too much time there. I mean he would probably leave after the meeting with your leaders is over."

Flits still had his gran as he grabbed about five cigars.  "Thank ya kindle, master Kaiser." After hiding the cigars in his pouch he lit the one that was already in his mouth and head over to where the front desk where a mare was sitting. He took the cigar out his mouth and gave her a charming grin. "Good day, darlin'. The Kaiser told me to give this to ya." He said sliding the note over to her.

@@SilentFlight, The Kaiser knew that the invasion of the dominion was imminent at this point and that all hopes for establishing trade were lost. This didn't upset him however for not gaining something isn't losing something. His nation was as strong as it had ever been, even more so with its allies. He sent a letter immediately to Blackfire and had it done so with one of his monitors down the river for maximum speed. It said,

 

In  regard   to  the  invasion  of  the  Dominion  of  Kartrin,  we  are   sending  25,000  soldiers   for ground occupancy, 25  of  our  armored   ships,  15  of  our  smaller  airships  which  will  be accompanied  by  30  of  our hot  air  balloons. We   will  first  send  our  naval  fleet  down  the  river,  to  lend  you  50  of our howitzers  for  heavy  artillery.  After  doing  so,  they  will  sail  up  and  around  to connect  with  our  northern  blockade.  We  intend  to  not appear  as  the  villain  in  this  event,  therefore  we  are  going  in  as  protectors  from  other  foreign  influence.  This  means  we  will  take  over  from  within,  and  disassemble  what  is  left  of  their  military.  May  you  have  a  glorious  victory.

@@Firehearted,@@SilentFlight,  The Kaiser sent the chosen number of armed forces into the dominion and gave a speech about the best interest of the nation would be to secure its neighbors to ensure that it, itself is protected. He launched the new submarine, and then boarded the Nightingale and went to the Griffon Kingdom. Along the way he was glad to make not of the progress that had been in the construction of the railroad. It should be be near finished by the time winter reached them. He also watched for the time he was able to, the storm that made up the blockade barrier extend west.

 

Meanwhile in the southern dominion, there were some 31,000 guards and rangers. Once news reached them of the invasion, 10,000 were assembled near the border, consisting mostly of archers. They also had 24 catapults which were first first used against the Pegasonian ships but their range proved to me less than ideal for them.

 

@@Gloomfury, Within ten minutes, the money had been gathered and brought forth. "If you need anything, just ask she said." Flitz was now free to roam the city or do what he pleased for the most part.

Kulx was standing in front of one of the cathedrals, on either side of him were 2 unicorns, adorned in lavish red robes that covered their entire bodies, with only their eyes and horns sticking out, the robes were adorned with imagery of the sun goddess

 

He walked around the newly constructed city visiting each of the cathedrals and inspecting the quality of the sun goddess's shrines, the 2 unicorns following him.

 

Klux then visited a large camp of Cidonians "Ok I sign off on your project, I will personally over see it along with my assistants" he turned to a messenger pony "Messenger, send word to the advisers that I will be spending some time here in Clexto to oversee the building of a grand monument to the sun goddess right outside the city limits, addition I will need the following materials listed in this scroll" he hands the messenger a scroll and the messenger zooms off

The nobles and aristocrats lost no time into showing that they were now the dominant power, building huge mansions, shadowing those of the original, Cidonian nobles (they were again, unics and EPs). Some of them had come across the sea to bring, civilization to the land and therefore had to change society. This would be started by erasing the false image that pegasi were superior from the eyes of Cidonians.

 

After the initial renovation of the shrines, no more interest was shown in them and no worker ever got near one again, concentrating on other buildings. Bells rung throughout the city as ponies were summoned to pray.The Church was a extremly powerful institution in Ponssia, they had their own, independent city in the middle of the country and were the single richest organsation there. They saw Cidonia as a new opportunity to spread the faith. they had spent loads of money in the building of these cathedrals (4 cathedrals) and churches (7 churches) but they werent going to stop. They had a plan to build the largest, most magnificent cathedral in the world, right in the middle of town. If all else failed, they still had their secret agents, inquizitors.

The messenger arrived at the palace within an hour, he stopped in the throne room to catch his breath then entered the adviser office where the other advisers were "Great ones! I have a message from the mighty High Priest Klux! He says he will be staying in Clexto for a while to over see the construction of a huge monument to the sun goddess just outside the city limits, and he will need the following materials delivered to the build site" he handed Hommit a scroll, bowed and then walked away.

 

Hommit looked at the scroll "Hmm, a large tower, gold plated and with a top piece made of solid gold, Roxin you will be needed, he says he needs a glass lens that  is warped in such a way that when the sun rises and is behind the monument, light will be refracted and beams of light will shine on the shrines in the city, and he has a map here" Roxin walked up and took it, "Ill have it done in no time!" he ran off to his lab

 

 

In the city of Clexto, the Cidonian public was starting to really resent the new immigrants as time went on, shrine attendance nearly tripled, nobles really resented that the Ponissan nobles looked down on them, many began to paint the symbol of the sun goddess just over the cutie marks of their servants just to annoy the Ponissans, at night, many Cidonians would paint the symbol of the sun goddess over several buildings

 

Even the Cidonian earth ponies didnt like the new religion that was being forced upon them and so many started constructing more river god shrines, a few would even sneak on to the plantations and build a shrine in them during the night

(They just built churches... It isnt forced... Yet... Also Ponssians have no cutie marks... So wont affect the nobles much)

The citizens were outraged at the vandalism already spreading throughout the population of 'the uncivilized'. Police were given permission to arrest and contain vandals. The punishment would be 1 week in prison. Nobles, in order to protect their private plantations built high fences and hired private guards (allowed to use violence) to guard their land. Soldoers were called to guard churches at night in fear of vandalism.

 

Small protests were starting to spread against the cidonian earth pony aid. They claimed that they clearly didnt want help if they acted with such public destruction. Why pay taxes to help those who destroy. Some tiny, fanatic groups wrote a petition to the local goverment to create Cidonian ghettos, it was imidiately dismissed. The officials though, despited the pegasi noble attitude, therefore passed a law which raised their taxes by 20%. The goverment realized that a 'let loose' policy wouldnt work, therefor the classical Ponssian, disciplined policy would be put in action.

 

The church, despite resistance from the native population, set up 'assylums for the poor and homeless, trying to win over some natives. They publicly urged believers to not react violently to the pagan acts of the cidonians. The project for the great cathedral was passed though. It would use over 50000 tonnes of stone and will be executed by some of the most talented craftsponies and artisans available. In order to please the population, they decided to combine some Cidonian shrine building traits in the church design. It would have a massive 6m high door and two tall towers, about 40m tall. It would have an area of about 4000 meter squares. It would have the most beautiful stained glass windows the world has ever seen and would be filled with masterpiece wall paintings executed by master artists.

An empty flat bed barge, usually used to carry food up and down the river, was moving across the city of Clexto to a patch of sea about 30m off the coast, on top of the barge were several stone blocks, it docked near by, the construction area was actually underwater, in a shallow part of the coast about 5m deep, several pegasi, mainly saliors would drop the blocks into the water and position them accurately while under the water as they were good swimmers soon the base raised above the water and the rest of the tower began being built at a rapid pace

 

meanwhile in the city a group of nobles got together and entered the government office, one of them spoke to the secretary "Excuse me, we would like to speak to the regent of this city"

 

In another part of town, there was a small movement of middle class pegasi mocking Ponissian unicorns for not being able to use magic, they had pooled their money together to rent a servant to preform simple tricks such as lighting their horn or picking up objects and challenge unicorn citizens to do the same
