Along with Jericho winning the US title idea is that, as a gift, Kevin Owens will gives a redesigned version of United States championship belt, only it will have space details on it instead of Stars and Stripes, and it be called the WWE Galactic Championship. it would still officially be called the US Championship and share the linage of the US championship though.

Unrelated, I think they should have an "Old School SmackDown" where they have the classic 99 to 01 stage, the old ring aprons, and also have the champions replace their belts with the Attitude Era versions of the WWE, Intercontinental, Tag Team, and Women's titles respectively for the night.

Oh, and of course, replace the logo with the "Scratch" logo, and begin the show with the Attitude Era intro.

Something I realized: with the "World Tag Team Titles" defunct since 2010, the New Day will NOT match Demolition's records because its not the same lineage. The "Raw Tag Team Titles" have the lineage of the "WWE Tag Team Titles" which came into play in 2002 as SmackDown's Answer to Raw's "World Tag Team Titles" until in 2009 where both titles were unified (though the WWE and World Tag Team titles remained officially separate entities until 2010, as in, for example, Jerishow were both the WWE AND the World Tag Team Champions at the same time, until 2010, where the linage of the World Tag Team Titles ended)

I think the issue is breaking the longest tag record overall. Yes, The New Day are already the longest reigning Raw/WWE tag champs. But the goal is to break the longest tag title record in WWE. It'd be like the Universal champion breaking Bruno Sanmartino's run. Regardless of the belt, it's still a standing record. One I hope get's broken, and cements this generation of talent in the history books.

Yeah. Anyway, i think the Universal Title should instead have a black leather belt, and replace the gold parts with Platinum and space decails with the gems on it. Just my opinion. Because if the current one goes to SmackDown in the 2017 draft....

Anyway, designed some WIP Major Event logos for my future wrestling promotion, LCW (Lightning Championship Wrestling) and its weekly show Tempest.

The Major Events are Winds Of Change (March, equivalent to WWE's King of the Ring and Money in The Bank), Hyperthermia (June, equivalent to WWE's Summerslam), Over The Top (September, equivalent to WWE's Royal Rumble), and Ragnarok (November, equivalent to WWE's Survivor Series and Wrestlemania ) and take place on Saturdays.

From March 1st to the Tempest before Ragnarok, Tempest is a weekly show, but after Ragnarok to the end of February, Tempest will be shown every other week, as this is LCW's Off Season.

So people are going to throw a hissy fit if New Day breaks demolition. 

 

My response: Get over it. I'm sick and tired of the past being given the highest of regards while the present day athletes, arguably the best crop of talent WWE has ever had, get thrown to the wayside.

 

The New Day are breaking the record, and I will celebrate. Because that will mean that this generation of wrestlers will have made history. They will break the record and show that glass ceilings can be shattered and that new stars can amount to something. 

 

Besides, complain all you want that Demolitions record is about to be shattered, but there is another record of their's that will still remain in tact, and that's longest combined tag title reigns at over 600 days. So there, Demolitions legacy remains in tact while The New Day make history. Everypony wins.

-They will be remembered because athleticism & ring skill trump acting. People don't pay to see characters, they pay to see fights. I want wrestling. Not a variety show styled sitcom drama. 

 

-To most fans? Most fans are cheering the New Day. You are in the minority. 

 

-Always holding the present to the impossible standards of the past. With that attitude, no of course New Day won't. Which makes me question, why you still care? Demolition to you are obviously the best, so what's the point in watching if nothing will ever top them? 

 

-It's a proven fact that Demolition are 100x the champions? Alright then. Show me the proof. Show me the unbiased evidence that Demolition are superior. Because facts are backed up by concrete proof. Otherwise, it's just an opinion. 

 

-You've made that abundantly clear by now. 

 

-Okay, Road Warriors are gods. So if no one will match them, again, why bother watching? New Day will never match up, so what do you have to worry about? And them 'sucking' is a matter of opinion as well. 

 

-And why can't The New Day be remembered along with Demolition, The Dudleys, The Hardys, E&C, Worlds Greatest Tag Team, the Wyatts and the Shield? They aren't knocking Demolition off their perch. They're joining them atop the mountain. 

 

 

Frankly, it seems to me like you're getting your jollies by bashing anyone who supports modern wrestling. New Day are entertaining? Scum compared to Demolition. Cesaro a fantastic technician? Duller than a sack of hammers next to the KISS demon. AJ Styles, the man who can do it all? An insect to the likes of part timer Goldberg. 

 

You bring down anyone who doesn't appreciate the same talent and the same era that you do. it's fine to like your favorites. Love everything that the golden era and new generation made. Wave that WCW banner proud. Lodge your constructive criticism at WWE. Everyone else is. 

 

But when you say that all the guys we respect and support today, all the guys we enjoy watching, when you tell us that they all 'suck'? That's when you're crossing a line. 

 

It is indeed possible to like what you like without trashing who and what everypony else likes around here.
