So being the DM i will ask if it's okay if chip finds a cutting torch kit in the shed, just to double check if you don't want that tank barrel weapon being a thing

The weapon can be a thing, however it would seem too convenient to find the torch kit when we need it most, then again you have a Luck of 7, uhh how does this roll stuff work? xD

I mean we are at a farm house so they would want equipment around to repair farm equipment. 

 

If I find an acetylene torch, it would be an inferior torch meaning cutting through the metal armor of a tank could take an hour in itself.

 

Unfortunately I do not know how the special rolls work, we could use a roll system I use in D&D

That's fine with me, and tell me more about this roll system.

Also, the +1 was from the intense training perk i took, but I Just edited it to +2 so yes, it works for everyone, so errybody add +1 to Agl.

For D&D in a way your base stats max at 10 similar to fallout. Every even increment adds a +1 bonus 

 

0-1 : +0

2-3 : +1

4-5 : +2

6-7 : +3

8-9 : +4

10  : +5

 

For a dice system like this when it's online i'd use my percentage system.

 

first when something is brought up similar to Chip finding a cutting torch.

 

first we roll a D100 to figure out a base chance. So i rolled a 25% (after a few rolls higher then I wanted as an example lol)

 

next I roll a d20 to take the skill into consideration, treating each number as 5%. So I rolled a 13 (add on +3 for the skill) so total of 16. 16x5=80% 

 

Then I add the previous D100 result with the D20 result, giving 105%. So the situation is in favor of the player, if the dice added up below 100% then it wouldn't work out for the player.

 

That's the system I came up with for on the fly stuff, which I feel can work well for this.

But one thing he does find is a work bench, thinking if he should find maybe a blueprint for a better sniper rifle or just some extra gun parts. But it's more up to defender.

I was providing the info so the DM could be the one doing the rolling since it's their overall decision.

 

Granted when you all were in my shop that was the rolling I was doing for all your requests but again that was Chip's shop so I could get away with it
