It was a covert war. The Saddle Arabian campaign was the Equestrian Army aiding the Saddle Arabian army in a secret counterterrorist operation against the Trotiban (ponified Taliban). I modeled some aspects of it on the Vietnam War, such as the tunnels, and I modeled the secrecy of the operation on the CIA's involvement with the Contras.

No, seriously, I get that you're trying to be accurate, but I'm coming down off a tech high right now from a different site, and I'm not exactly used to this sort of time period. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the help and I will change my posts to adhere to this from this point on.

Well 1700s... Flintlock muskets and pistols (one-shot muzzle loaders... Fire once... Reload for 1-3min)... Also pretty inaccurate. I put so much desc in preparimg for the shot+muzzle mod in irder to explain why i hit the target... Realistiy... The chance of hitting someting 10m away with a flinklock was 20%... Pretty stressful to use one. Only prob is... U said ur from the EQ army... They barely have a millitary ...and it looks like a greek hoplites... With spears and stufd.... Thats why im not from eq... And i balanced my powerful "non equestrian"

The most modern I have seen is a train and wagons that look like taxis (and perhaps skyscrapers in cities such as Manehattan and Phillydelphia).

I mean, they could be just really culturally advanced, but in all reality, they should probably have semiautomatic rifles such as the Kar 98K by now, at least. However, due to the things shown in the show (thank you, little girls' perceived inability to comprehend what guns are!) I made a compromise to golden age of piracy/1800s era weaponry.

Pirates were pretty much gone by the 1800s... But tech wasnt that different... You will have to explain where u got that gun from tho... I think. =o

I just want to make clear that some guns are allowed but keep in mind that this is Equestria. So not too much gun talk in the RP.
