gaming Should I get the physical or digital copy of Animal Crossing New Leaf?

Hey guys! So, I'm going to be getting a New 3DS XL soon (in the next couple months or so, fairly soon) and I know for a fact that I really, really want Animal Crossing New Leaf but I'm wondering if I should purchase a physical or digital copy? I did hear someone say that they prefer the digital copy for that game and that it's better which, I guess I can see why it would be easier being able to switch back and forth from games but I'm not totally sure which one would be better. I know that with this game I can get a cheaper copy (without the case) on eBay or Amazon but idk if I will or not.....

Also, do you guys prefer digital or physical copies of games for your 3DS? Why or why not? I personally don't have one yet and I only had a DS Lite YEARS ago before they even came out with digital copies of games like that so, I wouldn't know. I know there's some games out there that are only digital games (I've heard people talk a little about it).

Thanks!!

Personally I prefer physical copies. I just don't like the idea of having a game that isn't tactile. I am always afraid something will bork with the system and say that I do not own the game when I clearly paid for a digital copy. I haven't had this problem before, but it scares me that it might happen.

So yeah. I like physical copies. :)

I prefer physical copies of games, most likely due to me being an older gamer who's grown up and used to having physical copies of games.

I happen to be replaying Animal Crossing New Leaf again. I can friend code you if you want. :)

Yeah, it's a pretty good game, I must admit! :D

Anywho, Pros of both sides. Here we go:

Physical:

- you can share between multiple devices

- uses less usage space

- it doesn't disappear if you lose your device

- Possibly less expensive

- Able to use on the next gen console

Digital:

- You can't lose it easily

- easy access

- Limits the amount of space your games take up (the case)

Personally, Yeah, I'm skewed towards hard copies naturally. Same goes for books. Though its pretty convenient having the hard copy, and i like to share with my family & housemates especially with Animal Crossing. Though my sister still hasn't given it back to me yet..

I'd say get a digital copy if you care more about your save data. My physical copy broke down on me so I had to start over from the beginning with a digital copy, but of course it takes up more room in your SD card so it's best to have like around 12 GB SD card in your 3DS.

Get a physical copy. Only because I lost all my data on the digital games I downloaded (Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion) when my old 3DS broke. I'm still trying to replay those games now.

I prefer physical copies of games so I can hold onto the boxes and stare at the front and backs of them. The boxes also make great decorations so that if someone were to come into my room, I can show off my games and say, "Hey, I'm a gamer and you know it."

Personally, my first game was a physical copy of Mario Kart so that might have started the personal preference of physical copies more than digital.

I do have Animal Crossing New Leaf in a Physical copy. I'm not really sure what the different would be between the digital copy and the physical copy besides preference anyways.

I don't care what pony you like because I like everypony!

Get the physical copy. I made the mistake of buying the digital copy and I regret it. What ended up happening is that I got bored of the game and my sister would take my 3ds to play with her town since she couldn't play on hers. Since I had a digital copy. Anyways... Even if that's an unlikely scenario to happen to you, just get the physical. It's much better.

Hmmm yeah that's true, I like the idea better of getting a physical copy, just because it could be cheaper (unless I decided to go ahead and get the game in store instead of online). Plus, I'm seeing a lot of people on here saying to go with the digital copy simply because something can happen to it, and I would really hate for something to happen and for me to lose my entire game and have to start all over again.......

Plus, I kinda wanna have some movies on my 3DS (if you can, I think you can get them from the store) that way I can watch movies while travelling, and I could put movies on my tablet but I already have a lot of stuff on there and with the 3DS as long as you don't have too much stuff on there digitally you can always have movies and don't have to worry about the games taking up extra space.

As well as the fact that that way, there's more space for games you can only really get digitally or demos and such. So yeah. :3

Well, I HAD a digital copy of animal crossing on my 3ds, but due to my terrible luck, I

1: put in my password wrong when I made my nintendo ID

2:had a pre-used pre-broken 3ds that was a delicate as an Iphone 5 without a case... and...

3: I dropped it. Kablammo.  :(

Although, since you're buying a new one, and it is a 3ds xl, I'd recommend the digital copy, because when you get addicted to it, it'll be way more convenient to have it always on your system.

I bought a physical copy of it back in 2013, unfortunately I also lost it a couple of months ago and only recently found it again. I actually can't buy digital copies of 3ds games because my storage space is so low.

I'd go with a digital copy if you can, you don't need to go anywhere to get it and you're not really ever gonna lose it.
