Royal Guards and their cutie marks

..If each pony has its own cutie mark that symbolizes their talent, or an important feature of their personality .. What could be the cutie mark of a Royal Guard?

 

The Royal Guards have all the same cutie mark?? (I don't think..)

They're not the same, its just they're background ponies, so its not really going to matter.

I think they all have unique cutie-marks, you just can't see them under their armor because it covers them up. (Although they might be similar in nature, such as being weapons or such.) This might actually be military decorum. You have to function and think as a unit when on duty, that's why you wear a uniform in the first place. So the barding covering up the cutie mark is just enforcing the team work mentality.

Most of them probably have combat related cutie marks but it is not necessary that your job completely has to relate with what you're good at. Take Rarity for example, she can find gems but she didn't become a miner, did she?

 

Plus they all cover them up anyway to enforce the idea that they are all guardians of Equestria.

I think they have similar cutie marks, but not exactly the same.

They must look like Shining Armor's.

I always wondered how many ponies get their names and THEN get corresponding cutie marks. It's as if the name you receive dictates what your likes, dislikes, and final career choice will be!

 

(I'm thinking... Cheese Sandwich, Diamond Tiara/Silver Spoon, Shining Armor, Snips and Snails, etc...)

Why do they all have to be cutie marks, anyway?  You'd think somepony would have an ugly mark.  And a lot of these types of ponies, like the royal guard, and those mares that escorted Twilight during her coronation ceremony, they're all identical!  Maybe they're androids.

 

Hey, you think it's possible for two ponies to end up with exactly the same mark by sheer coincidence?  Seems possible to me.  How about this: an episode where the six get a cutie call (or whatever you want to call it when the map blinks) and they journey to a far corner of Equestria to find a pony with the exact same mark as one of them.  I don't know where you'd go from there, but I'm thinking it wouldn't be some Starlight Glimmer type skulduggery, but rather it would just be a nice, normal pony who just happens to have the same talent, and by coincidence, the mark looks exactly the same.  The pony could end up being an unexpected friend, like sort of a long lost sibling or something.  Just a thought.

I had never thought about it, but I don't think that is the right thing .. it would be like to cancel what you are..Celestia would do such a thing?

My headcanon is that some ponies change their names after receiving their Cutie Marks, while others don´t.

Probably some kind of traditional thingy.
