Hello Everyone! I a guy that works in the military. I live all alone. My life isn't fun so I like watching cartoons for kids when I can. I was first made aware of the franchise as a kid in the 80's. I have a sister who at the time was very much a fanatic of the genre, so I have seen the toys, the colouring books, a few seconds of some of the cartoons. they all made me cringe then. and I never thought id ever be a fan of MLP. fast forward 25 years.... A few weeks ago while channel surfing I stumbled across a kids channel. The "info" button for my cable (in my country anyway) doesn't always show updated information and I thought I was watching something called "littlest pet shop". However, it was an episode of MLP where the ponies are trying to find Rainbowdash a pet.... It seemed legit, and they didn't look anything like the previous generation ponies so I wasn't involuntarily put off. It was late and I had a terribly depressing day at work and I decided to watch any cartoon I could. when the show ended and the credits rolled I couldn't believe what I was hearing... the words "my little pony". but I was in even more shock and even denial that I enjoyed what I just watched. that channel seemed to have quite a few runs back to back and I watched the next episode that aired too.... I couldn't accept that I found the song catchy... I couldn't accept I found the characters cute and loveable... I couldn't accept that I wanted to watch more of it because it was pretty well done cartoon. eventually...
