Like the title says, I'm trying to be open-minded. I do realise this is a childrens show, my cousin watches it (she's 7). I wanna give it a shot, but not the dubbed over version like my cousin (since she can't speak English). I'm guessing I should just start with episode 1 season 1? Sounds like the way to go. Anyway, just stopping by to say hi. I do have a question though, how old are you? I know MLP is famous for having both a childrens audience and an older one, but I'm just wondering how accurate this is, because from what i've heard, "bronies" are originally just a joke off of 4chan. Attack of the Pwns 894 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 Hello Forest, welcome to the community! Even if you decide not to become a brony, I'm sure you'll still love your time here. As far as episodes go, everyone will try to tell you not to, but I agree that you should start with the first episode. Just don't stop there. Even if you find you don't like that first two-parter, sample an episode from each season. I much prefer the newer episodes to the old ones, myself, but you need introduced to the characters to enjoy them to their fullest IMO. As for your question about age, most bronies are ages 16-30, of course there are always outliers, but that's the bulk of the fandom. We're not just a joke, there are thousands of us, and we're not some weird deviants either, we just legitimately enjoy a show about cartoon ponies. See, I was not really open-minded before watching the show but I love cartoons and... well, this show is really good in my opinion! Being open-minded will make you feel okay about watching it, even if you're not a little girl. However, the new seasons are being made for both the little girls and the bronies (heck, episode 100 was made especially for bronies!). That's all you need to be a brony I'm 21 and I first saw this show during season 4 and watched all the episodes from Castle Mane-ia all the way to season 1 backwards. lol And Castle Mane-ia....any other bronies get the Castlevania reference?
