I don't really pick a side since I don't see a reason to. Let two forces of power fight amongst eachother. Besides, playing the Civil War quests pretty much forces you to play the Main Story. That alone made it lose it's appeal in my opinion. When a game forces you to do a certain mission before you can complete a different questline, it's a turn off for me. I personally enjoy the other sidemission questlines more. I still love the Dark Brotherhood questline the most out of most of them. Though Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood questline is still the best one in my opinion.

I could gush over the Oblivion Dark Brotherhood questline all day, but that can be saved for the other Elder Scrolls topic I mentioned it in. But to save some reading, I loved the whodunit mission the most.

My fave Dark Brotherhood mission in Skyrim. Killing Cicero. Yep... that's about it. Cicero being killable was the most enjoyable thing for that questline. About the only enjoyable thing aside from general killing which is much more watered down. So meh.

Right now I'm playing an Imperial Blade trying to get both sides around the table during "Season Unending" quest and kicking the Thalmor Emissary out of the negotiation :yay:.

Right now I am playing "Alduins Bane" trying to murder that peice of ****. I tried everything using dragonrend, companions, finding dwarvin armor, and EVEN SPAWNING A GIANT TO ATTACK HIM!

Easy choice though, I am in Stormcloaks.

I actually choose to side with neither the stormcloaks or the empire. I mean... obviously I did both sides of the quest just to see what they were like but not out of desire to help one over the other. Though that could just be because I like to play as argonians and both sides of the civil war (as well as most of the citizens of Skyrim for that matter) are very racist against argonians. Which is why I think I would want a fourth option where you alone can end the civil war by obliterating both sides. After all, the dragonborn is supposed to be powerful.

You're right, because...

At the Imperial camp of Rift the legate of the legion, Fasendil, tells you about the Night of Green Fire, where the Thalmor attacked and murdered other altmers. And the Empire also stationed him to keep an eye on the Thalmor.

I consider that as one of the important parts of the main story.
