Discordian 6,015 June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 I'd hardly call that bliss when you can't feel emotions, its a part of who we are; take that away; and we're just husks. No real purpose. But Hell would twist it to where you will still feel emotions so that whatever pain they deal to you has the maximum effect. Guest June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 At the end of the day everyone has their own "lense" that they see through and determine for themselves what is truth. In this day in age with all the different claims at what happens after death there is a plethora of ideas to choose from. To those of us who see things through a "Christian" perspective we hold onto the things we deem as truth. Each person has to find out for themselves what they deem is "truth" in their own eyes. I've been through worse, i've nearly died twice; so death isn't any concern. I just don't care for a stranger i don't love, its not right to force you to. But i believe in creation/evolution, it was made so we could adapt to many situations. How do you think we learned those things we do now? You can't just pop it into someone's head and say, "good luck". It takes more than just creation to do so, there are traits we share with other animals; but i'm no specialist. But its pretty obvious god made it possible for evolution to take place. //// My persona and OC: Candy Star //// Ask me anything: Ask Candy Star //// My Music //// //// My DA: (OC requests available) ////

Now now, dear sower of Chaos, saying hell will simply twist you so that it's horrible beyond belief ruins the fun, though seeing a Devil's Avocate of sorts in such a thread brings the joy of dark humour to the dark and bitter mug of coffee that is my heart. Were I to die and go to Hell, I'd take a job as a consultant, though the temperature would suck. Tom Snyder 4,112 June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 (edited) Literally none of this has anything to do with Hell. It does actually, it just depends if you believe in that stuff at all, which i do not. Unless i see it for myself; i remain skeptical. the heaven bit i can see; but not abandoning your children you worked so hard for. What we have done is minor; not something to be punished for. Were I to die and go to Hell, I'd take a job as a consultant, though the temperature would suck. Hel for the climate, Hell for the company. I take a great interest in the afterlife, as I'm sure many do, and I simply find it strange that people believe so completely that they can do anything in a realm that defies all earthly logic and reason. I'm also a bit of a contrarian. I'd just as soon argue that Hell's not as bad as some people say it is but I must make sure people at least consider the possibilities so they don't go in with the wrong expectations. Though this brings up another possibility: Could someone who entered Hell negotiate a place as one of the demons rather than one of the tortured? I imagine there's many who would take that job while others would be against the idea of it. I'd be of the former, if given the choice. It does actually, it just depends if you believe in that stuff at all, which i do not. Unless i see it for myself; i remain skeptical. the heaven bit i can see; but not abandoning your children you worked so hard for. What we have done is minor; not something to be punished for. I don't believe or disbelieve in any of this but that doesn't mean one shouldn't think about it. If you did end up in Hell it's foolish to think that in a realm that exists to extinguish all strength, light and positivity you'd have any way of resisting the horrors wrought on your being. The idea of an afterlife is my own worst nightmare. even if it's a "paradise". The fact that afterlifes are hypothetical grants a lot of freedom for hypothetical actions, it's all in good fun. As for you being contrarian, that's what makes you so freaking fun and your posts great. I'd rather be a demon on Earth in this life and die a permanent death, though I'm sure any being interested in torment would get a laugh out of me, even if only a derogatory "ha, this mortal thinks he knows suffering". What can I say, I'm twisted. 1 Keep flyin'

Lord Bradley 1,319 June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 ...So, where is the P.F. Chang? (Reference, btw) (Seriously)...Eh, i guess i would reason as to why I'm there, then accept whatever reason it is(Unless it's bull, in which case i would sigh and accept it anyways). Then, depending of what sort of "hell" it is(Personally i don't actually believe in it, but if i did, it would be a system of lesser and greater "hells". Aswell as someplace good, which people who don't deserve "heaven", but also don't deserve being in the different "hells", are), i would roll with whatever is happening. LittleMac 3,085 June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 I would probably do what anyone would do if they're being truly honest: I would break down and lose my sanity...me being a Christian, I know I'm saved, but sometimes I've tried to imagine what hell would be like...I don't even know what hell is, whether it's a place of literal fire or if it's just being eternally separated from God or whatever...but it's not a place I want any part of... AccountNoLongerUsed 741 June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 Hell is for those who have literally spurned the one who gave them everything. Is it not a just punishment that you be punished for not even recognizing his greatness? To lose everything as the price for everything. To be honest that makes the Abrahamic God sound like a abusive parent. Hell, at least eternal Hell, is completely unnecessary. On topic: What a disturbing and dark thread for a forum about a show about colorful ponies.

I would have a hard time going to ask for forgiveness, because I shouldn't have to be sorry (and punished eternally) for not seeing any reason to believe in the validity of the Christian claims/The Bible (which are all extremely shady, to the core) and the existence of any deity. None of this concept is moral, whether it is true or not. Edited June 13, 2015 by Envy 3 Everything needs more woodwind!
