Okay, so Amy Keating Rogers was originally supposed to write "Slice of Life" and M.A. Larson "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone", but then they had to swap thanks to scheduling conflicts.

How different, better, or worse to you think the episodes would've been if things had played out as originally intended. Because I gotta say, I think I like them enough as is, but one cant help but wonder...

Off the top of my head, I can see the Griffonstone episode being more eventful, but less emotional; while SoL might've been a little busy and crowded, but with more emotion.

What your thoughts on the subject and how things could've been???

How do you think WE feel?!

I think that with AKR's Slice of Life might have had less fan nods. Larson seems to 'get' the fandom approach to characters more than AKR. Not that she is a slouch in that department, but I just have this mental image of Larson literally smiling at all the inside jokes. I do think that the episode may have had a different feel entirely.

Griffonstone was actually a little bit of a departure from Rogers normal formula, so I honestly don't know. I could see Larson leaving out the guidebook from Twilight, and maybe increasing the act three action screen time a little.

Good question though.

Honestly I think both episodes would have been stronger with the original writers.  AKR wouldn't have made the 100th episode as over the top and more sincere in its tone and Larson probably would have done better at fleshing out the Griffons.

Larson actually had to look up a lot the stuff on the MLP wiki and was against the idea of this episode.

I was aware of the later, but not the former.

Well at least initially anyways. I think he was okay with it when he finished writing it, or at least i'd imagine so.

Larson is pretty much a Brony so you'd expect that from him. Amy not so much.
