Well, glad to see this got a lot more members while I slept. Looking forward for this one to start. So we gonna do this? I think our party is large enough or shall we await maybe one or two more?

The Black Knight raises his hand, "I could hold someone for ransom! Corrupt leaders always have a way of paying ransom, and there are plenty of those around here..."

Midnight Star raises his head, " We could also pledge protection to the town in exchange for room and board, that usually works in places near danger zones."

 

I am going to put out a character sheet for THE Black Knight's companion, Midnight Star, as he is a fairly well developed character.

Here is Midnight Star's Character.

 

Name: Midnight Star

 

Age: 1012

 

Gender: M

 

Race: Earth pony with alicorn proportions

 

Physical description(or picture): Basically an Earth Pony with Alicorn proportions, Black coat with White mane and tail, Blue-grey eyes, and white tufts of hair on the back of the fetlocks, just like the picture attached to Black Knight.

 

Personality: Actually the voice or reason in the companionship, which is scary as he is just about as impulsive as THE Black Knight. He is however far more experienced in the world as he was not in stone the 1000 years that the Black Knight was. He is generally happy even in combat, until someone he knows or cares about is in danger, then he becomes cool and calculating, he is not fun to be around when he is like that, so try to avoid his icy rage.

 

Skills: His skills pertain to linguistics as he became a fantastic public speaker during the Black Knight's absence, (He has high persuade and intimidate skills). He can run for quite a long time, due to the earth pony magic being amplified by his great size.

 

Magical or otherwise abilities(if any at all): Not really, he has been granted undeath so unless killed he will continue to live without physically aging.

 

Backstory: Initially he was just a normal horse, the steed of Prince Edward the Third, he does not remember much from these times except that he enjoyed running into combat, and that he died doing it once, which is totally okay as he is still alive now. He awoke in the strange new land to find himself with greater mental capability and the ability to finally tell Black Knight how to improve his plans. After the local diarchy sealed the Black Knight into stone, one of the diarchs fell in love with him, but soon went insane and attacked the other diarch just as the Black Knight had predicted. The other diarch blamed midnight for the insanity and tried to have him executed, but he escaped to live in the shadows of society, spreading rumors to slowly undermine the stability of the monarchy.

 

Weapons/Gear: He has cloth/chain horse armor, chain then cloth covering, as shown in the first picture, the helmet turns his eyes a glowing red and allows him to see better in the dark.

 

Companions(if any): The Black Knight

 

Motivation(i.e. Why they are seeking the relic): Because he agrees the the relic could help them in their quest to rid the world of evil.

 

Alternate aliases(if any): The Great Steed, Last Hope.

I emphasize THE in THE Black Knight when I refer to both The Black Knight and Midnight Star together.

I came up with that just now, when I started I emphasized THE to be the difference between the pronunciations of the (the is thuh and THE is thee).

 

I wouldn't expect consistency in this regard.

Now the more important question is when shall we begin the actual RP thread? We have plenty of people and no one else looks to be joining. Admittedly we only have limited patience for periods where we can be totally idle. So out if pure curiosity, do you have any indication of when we may start?

Race: Human

 

Physical Description: A quiet, reserved fellow. Has an average build but a toned body. Shoulder length hair although it's usually in a ponytail.

 

Personality: Raised in an aristocratic family by controlling parents. A fierce defender although he was forced to conform to his parents thinking thus never cared to make his own dreams known. He hates to fight but once riled fights without reservation. Prefers the civil route of non-violence, although a skilled hunter himself. Underneath that quiet demeanor, he hides a realist point of view seeing the world as true bleak place it really is.

 

Skills: Good with ranged weapons preferably in the wilderness. Proficient agility due to his training make him harder to hit and even harder to see when combined with his other talents. Able to live off the land sufficiently with decent survival skills.

 

Back Story: Will reveal in RP.

 

Weapons/Gear: A magical energy bow that was handed down to him as a family heirloom. He also dons medium leather armor that doesn't restrict his movement. Has a cloak that can temporary provide invisibility outside of combat when combined with his other talents that make him almost impossible to detect.

 

Motivation: Neutral, curiosity and new found knowledge to be gained from such endeavors.

guys we need slow down not just for me but for the Rp to not get confusing and so that we can actually get some character interaction going without it being like "hey I like this and this has happened in my life, I am this, let us go on an adventure" we can fudge the time until this ultimate attack happens that and we can slow down the time if we wanted as well just saying

FYI, he doesn't have fast feet, he has a spell that surrounds him in starlight that allows him to move at extreme speeds by flying.

That is why I tried to have the Q&A, to have our characters interact and give the others a chance to move their plots along.

BTW the main poster has only posted twice, I don't think he has seen this thread yet.
