Too Harsh for Flight Camp?

Everypony, do you think that anypony at Flight Camp would deserve this?

Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Gilda rant on to everypony and the coach about how horrible they've been to them, how horrible of ponies they, in the style of Seashell Seahorse Party, and run off to Ponyville.  With nopony to be their punching bag, all the foals at Flight suffer each other and themselves.  Many are let bawling out like a mess, yelling angrily at themselves or each other, and/or threatening to kill each other, even the coach.

 It doesn't matter who's problem it is. All that matters is that no one deserves that.

Remember Fluttershy's flashback in Cutie Mark Chronicles?  She was bullied unmercifully & knocked falling to what would have been her death if it hadn't been for a miracle (even by EQ standards)

 Two guys said mean things to her once. That's hardly unmerciful bullying. And her fall was an accident. She just stood to close to racing track.

I guess Commander Hurricane and the pegasi's douchebaggery lived on in the flight camp.

 

Let's look at some of the leaders of Cloudsdale just for a moment, the Wonderbolts. From what we saw in Wonderbolts Academy Spitfire and co were willingly and complicit in promoting a hostile and dangerous environment, promoting success and competition, even if it meant endangering the lives of teammates and bystanders. Rather than taking responsibility, Spitfire just made Lightning Dust a scapegoat and threw her under the bus even though she supervised her and sanctioned her bad behavior.

 

Coincidence? Nah.   

 

In Rainbow Falls after supposedly learning her lesson, Spitfire and Fleetfoot just proceeded to throw Soarin under the bus, lying about his injury, as soon as they saw they could get a "better" teammate.

 

These are the "best" flyers Cloudsdale has to offer so to me its a reflection on the flight camp, which seems to have a motto of "fly or fall." Its not just Fluttershy either:

 

 

If Gilda got that sort of treatment at flight camp herself, then its not just a personal experience that Fluttershy had. You could say that flight camp in large part helped bring out the worst in Rainbow and Gilda and probably the Wonderbolts.

I don't know, but I've been told, the foals at flight camp are mighty cold!
