Welcome, fellow Matorans, to MLP Forum's official Bionicle fanpage, The Temple of Worship. As you may have guessed, any and all fans of Bionicle are welcome to commune here and share their stories. If you owned any Bionicle/still own any Bionicle, be they Gen 1 or Gen 2, feel free to tell us about them. Allow me to write the temple's first manuscript.

A long time ago, I owned two Bionicle. They were Tahu and Gali. Both were Toa Nuva, although at the time I thought they were Toa Mata due to the similarities of their Kanohi. That and I was a boy who was madly in love with them both. Anyway, after freeing them from their cryoshells and building them, I set them atop my shelf. They spent their time watching over me, as well as occasionally sparring with each other to alleviate boredom.

Alas, both Tahu and Gali ended up lost in the winds of time. I don't remember if they got thrown out or if they were donated to the local charity shop, but what matters is that I miss them both. Since then, I have made it my mission to reclaim Tahu and Gali, as well as gathering all the Toa I failed to collect in my youth, including the Turaga, Takanuva, maybe Mata Nui, and the Gen 2 Toa. Once that is done, I will then construct an altar made of Lego, displaying all six Kanohi of the original Toa as a tribute to my love of Bionicle.

Well this topic probably won't go very far but yes I was with the theme since early G1 (around 2002) and is one of the first stories I knew.

Ehh, maybe it won't go far, but there's got to be a number of Bionicle fans around here. I'm sure we both know how popular it was and remains to be, especially with the new sets.

What sets did you own?

Loving their design always been my favorites =)=)=)=)

I loved the Toa Mata. Their Kanohi designs, as well as the movies and the Turaga were the reason I got into Bionicle.

Am I the only one who fangirls at Kopaka and Pohatu's videos?

Well from what I've seen there really isn't much of a presence from the bionicle fanbase around here, it does exist but it seem to be quite small. And I own over 120 bionicle sets so asking me to list them all would be quite a task.

*Sighs* Well, that is rather unfortunate.

Also, I envy you. LOL JK, that's quite an achievement. I don't even need to ask to know you were a superfan back in the day.

Kind of sad how Bionicle shrank over the years isn't it? To think back in the day it was massively popular, but when Lego cut off the head, the body slowly died. Tragic in a sort of way.

I was a big fan of Bionicle when it first came out. I owned the six Toa Mata and wanted to collect all sets (although I didn't realize how many there would be). I eventually lost them, and also lost interest for a while until the Voya Nui chapters and beyond.

I've seem the 3 films and own a few sets today.

(Tahu Star, Rahkshi star, Takanuva start, Irnakk, Mahri Matoro, Karapar, and Piruk).

  • 6 years later...

I love BIONICLE, and I still do today! :yay:

Since this year (2021) is BIONICLE's 20th anniversary, I wish Lego would re-release the classic sets, such as the Toa Mata, the Matoran (the ones that were released as Happy Meal toys, aka the Tohunga or McToran), the Turaga, some of the Rahi, and the Bohrok.

I have plans on 3D printing my own sets, and they'll be in my own building style. :squee:
