Also, looks like MLP really went with the anime styles of girls and guys, and made the girl's face ultra tiny compared to their eyes, and the males' much more proportionate. Why?

 

The real question is why did they only go half way with it. Instead of some nice moe' level designs we are left with these hybrid things that look to much like the pony puppets to be considered human

 

The movies could of benefited from a pure anime look, or like how Avatar did their animation

I'm indifferent about most of them. The style works for Pinkie, Flutters, Rarity, and I actually enjoy Twilights look.

 

Rainbow's is okay, but those boots + athletics? I don't think so.

 

Luna and Celestia's lips are Gargantuan! Tone those guys down.

 

And finally, best pony (in human form) would not wear that skirt. The top is okay, but that whole bottom is just... Plz DHX. Y do dis?

Their designs are hilarious. Why are their feet so disproportionately large compared to their hands?

I think the Crystal Prep students have much better designs, yet only Sunset Shimmer gets a new look for the third movie, which is a shame

 

My real pet peeve, however, is the anatomy

1. Sunset shimmer's evil form. They should've made her ears smaller and her hair different. 

 

2. Derpy, all they need to do is change her clothes and she'd look better

 

3. Rainbow dash. Let's be realistic, what sports require you to wear extremely tall skinny boots?

 

4. Twilight sparkle. Again, change her clothing and her footwear.
