Guest April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 I have no idea if this is even possible or not, but I thought a cool addition to the profile pages could be a list of a users posts that have received enough brohoofs to get the "popular" star. This would be a way to show off the best of the best of their posting. I know some people might dislike the idea because it could make some feel bad about not having popular posts, but then again you could say the same thing about the brohoof counter as well. Guest April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 Lower right corner of forum page. "Most brohoofed content" http://mlpforums.com/best-content/ I realize this exists, but I meant something on a per user basis. Much like the list of items that the user themself brohoofs that can be found on their user profile.

You could go to there profile and hit the topics button on the side, from there go to the top and hit find content, you can see topics that they have started and how many replies they have, perhaps a bro hoof organizer would be nice for those who cared *Shrugs* I guess I just want to see people showing off there popular posts, even though thats not what your intentions are, other have different intentions, but maybe I am just jumping the gun On your profile, if you click the "Brohoofs" tab, you can see a list of the posts you have received brohoofs for: http://mlpforums.com..._type__received There you go
Prince Lightning Da Cute 619 April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 Hmmmm I see, I would support this idea, but if you notice only a select few members actually have at least one popular post, Feld0 has the most with what I think is 6+ while I only have one. If you were to count how many members actually have one, you'd probably only get maybe 15 or 20 out of 10000+ members, it wouldn't be widely used at all. Guest April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 Hmm, I suppose it would be rather redundant with all of those in conjunction. Well thank you for the info and for listening all!
Swordfishtrombone 384 April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 Yeah, what he said. Popular posts are really rare on a per-user basis. I don't think I've got any... yet. I'm sure theres a better way to do this though.
Queen Cassie 3,057 April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 Honestly, I'd rather not see this done. The brohoof/popular post ranking system, if it were extended to that level, would feel to me like it's making too much out of something that ultimately does not actually indicate the actual quality level of a post. A post could receive a large number of bro hoofs for simply being the first to make a mildly amusing joke on the thread's subject matter, while a much more in depth response might be overlooked entirely, especially if the user is new. Just because a post receives brohoofs does not mean the post is high quality, and just because a post doesn't receive brohoofs does not mean it's not worth reading. Vice versa too: the system itself only indicates that people LIKE the post. Thus, I'd rather not turn the forum into a repeat of high school experiences where the popular are held up over the masses. 4 Used to be known on here as Kyronea. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 April 19, 2012 Share April 19, 2012 I was under the impression that once a person reaches 5,000 brohoofs, Feld0 would fly out to visit them and host a party for the user and 10 of their friends while wearing a Twilight Sparkle suit. If this is true, then brohoofs are TOTALLY important. If not true, then my life has no meaning. /kidding 3 MLP Forums' resident timelord, sports dilettante, and purveyor of wit and humor~*Traveling Timelord Nonpareil*~

Ezynell 2,037 April 19, 2012 Share April 19, 2012 It's something of relevant importance, and it's pretty easy to obtain if you have a decent amount of humor/skill and come in at the right time. As it's been proven to me before, brohoofs/ likes are more for fun then anything, and anypony who feels bad about that sort of stuff takes forums way to seriously. 1 GAK
Clarity 3,094 November 7, 2012 Share November 7, 2012 I think this is a great idea, for I want to see the popular posts I have. Only for myself, not to "show off" to other people. If they show brohooves, why not popular posts?

NavelColt 22,881 November 7, 2012 Share November 7, 2012 This already exists, does it not? -Insert whiny explanation about how brohooves overall does not list popular posts specifically, and thus isn't convenient enough to satisfy my lazy needs- I dunno, maybe it sounded better in my head, but I still don't think it's a completely worthless idea.

Jokuc 8,174 November 7, 2012 Share November 7, 2012 This already exists, does it not? No, actually it doesn't. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png Because all popular posts are impossible to find in there, especially when you got over 1000+ brohoofed posts, it isn't easy to find anything in that list. And I'd like to see a feature where I can see only my "popular" posts.. @~Chaotic Discord~, let's whine about this together and it might be added!

The feature mentioned by people previously is pretty moot on actually letting you see any of the popular posts. Its rather inefficient. I would like to see something more user specific happen.
