I recently joined Twitter, and I don’t self promote (since I don't have friends to promote to), but I noticed that somehow, I had 2 followers. 2 more than I ever expected.

To those with a Twitter account, or on any other social media, how did you obtain your followers?

I've got a Twitter. Most of my followers came after I followed other people. I know a few other people with accounts and they say the same things. I don't know why, but I guess it's common. I had an account and didn't tweet on it for a while. I got 14 followers by the time I stopped using it.

On my non-brony account, I have like 400 followers because I just retired a bunch of funny shit and have conversations with all my friends. My brony account has six followers xD

On Facebook people follow me if they know me from school.

On Twitter they follow me for my Youtube Vid Posts...i never go on twitter but twitter posts everything i like on youtube for me.

On Deviant Art people are following me for my art...i hope, would be nice if thats the reason.

On Youtube, people followed me, because they hated me and wanted to troll me.

On my recent Youtube channel, people follow me because of my music...i guess?

And on Tumblr people followed me, because of my art. And some perverts followed me, because they wanted to have sex with my character...yeah...but hey, that means they like my art XD

Way back in the dark ages (many years ago) I had a Twitter account and all I would do was follow mainstream celebrities and retweet their stuff. It gained me some followers. But I also got some random ones who added me months after being inactive...

I've been on deviantART, Tumblr, Steam, Twitter, and I'm also considering Facebook. I mainly joined those sites to keep in touch with my friends from the Neopets and MLP communities, I really couldn't care less for how many follow me. If people want to follow me, that's perfectly fine. But they're not gonna get much from me seeing as 1) I've been in a real art slump and 2) I've been trying to get myself employed. Oh, and I've been playing games a lot. Can't seem to shake that old habit.
