I would say that face is pretty inspiring when it comes to macabre and horror. He is pretty well the face of insanity.

Oh my gosh, look at Lyra! She's so cute! Your art is wonderful! I'm for sure going to check out your Deviantart! When you ask for comments on DA for ideas, are we allowed to suggest OC's? Obviously you get to chose what you draw and stuff, just asking!

Props to you, the composition and poses of your drawings are great, and I love the details shown in their eyes and the mist of Sombra's aura that you recreated with lighter colors.

 

I would participate in this, but sadly I'm not really able to have a sketchbook devoted to poneh without having to hide it somewhere.

Funny enough, that's pretty well what I do. xD
Not even my room mate knows I'm a brony. Lucky for me, he works weird hours and I often find myself with the apartment to myself for hours. I get my sketching in then.

All I can say is.. Hours of practice every day. I've spent my whole life creating visual art, and just practiced endless hours with pencils. I use a set of pencils with various graphite softnesses as well, this allows for lighter and darker shading.

Also, I'm just going to post this now. I've decided I won't be doing OC's, simply because I can only do so many drawings, and I don't want to end up with a daunting pile of requests with people waiting on me for everything to be done. So for this reason, I'll only be doing canon character requests, and my own OCs if I feel like doing them.

Well, here's a wee update. I've been away for a couple days, so I'm a little behind. I did a sketch today, but I thought I'd share this one here. I digitalized one of my sketches from earlier on in the sketchbook challenge.

Update time!
So I have some colour pics. Aloe, Lotus, a spitburn ship, and a Spike.

 

 

 

I also have some 30 minute art challenges, which are all pen drawings.

 

 

 

And lastly, I have a piece that I went all out on. Took me a couple hours to make, and I'm excited to say, it also got featured on EQ Daily! This one is my OC, playing the part of the stranger in the end of Riven, from the Myst series. It was done with ink, and a brush, then coloured with watercolour, and white gouache.

Wow.  I wish i had half the talent that you have in your right hand. Your drawings are awesome and i want to learn how to just do the simple drawings.   

I do have a question that maybe you could help me out with.  I have recently tried to scan all of my drawings and they didnt show up very well alot of what i drew isnt showing up.  and i have tried resolutions from 600dpi (i think) to 1200 dpi.  im mainly having trouble with the drawings that i didnt go over with ink, thats only pencle

 

 

 Also i havent drawn anything in like a month.

I have been working on vectoring the past 2 weeks tho and made my signature. Its all a vector except the background and the part that spells Angels and Airwaves.

 

 

 

EDIT:

The drawing of scootaloo reminds me of when i was at bronycon.  I was dressed up like Scootaloo and actually started doing the chicken dance.   I Literally walked through the whole thing once without stopping.   it was really funny at times because i would be completly silent and sneak up on people while doing it.

Really it just comes down to throwing as much time into it as you can spare. I've been drawing since I could pick up a pencil.

 

Your scanner may be having troubles picking up the drawing if you're using a pencil that is very light in tone. I'd suggest maybe trying to either use a softer graphite, or you could even go over the outlines in pen if you wanted to really make them pop out. Are you familiar with graphite softness grading on pencils? It'll be printed right on the pencil it's self usually.

 

Ah that's cool. I haven't really done a lot of digital work in a while. I'm a relative noobie with it compared to traditional mediums. xD
 

That's hilarious. xD I'm guessing most people got the joke?
The scootaloo chicken thing is still a running joke on the Parc minecraft server too. I found one of my houses loaded with chickens named Scootaloo one time.
