What do you think a Black Hole looks like?

As other people have mentioned you can't directly see a black hole (its gravitational force prevents light from escaping) but you can see its silhouette and the hot gas surrounding it

So black holes don't look like anything after all. Eye reacts to a light bounced from an object, but black holes just absorb 100% of light, so it's just a pure void surrounded by gas for us

It's not something you see as much as it is something you don't see  .

Like if I replaced all the light in the room with fish, and there was a spot with no fish, that's the black hole  . Some fish might look funny around the spot  .

But actually you'll see light warped around it as it is bent by the black hole's immense gravity
