Jackbloom or Raritybell?

I'm curious on which relationship you guys think is more genuine or believable I suppose. I noticed how I'm in love with bother their relationships..... and to be honest, both exists when it comes to family. My relationship with my younger sister seems to be a mix of both. What donyou guys think?

Both are genuine and believable, don't see any reason why one would be more genuine or believable than the other. I find Raritybell more interesting and fun, but considering how family-based the Apple family is, Jackbloom probably has a stronger relationship.

When my sis saw the show, she thought Jackbloom was bs because there was no such thing as sisters being that tight without have a major fight. I disagreed because there ARE relationships like that. Even within a family based setting there can be complications, but at the same time....it doesnt have to be.

 

Some people might find a relationship more believable than the other but i personally find both equally genuine. They cover two types of relationships between sisters

I've always found Rarity and Sweetie Belle's relationship miles believable than Applejack and Apple Bloom's. Not that I don't think that AB and AJ's is unbelievable, but we never had too many episodes about just the two of them, so as such it's kind of safe to say that their relationship doesn't get strained all that much.

 

On the other hand, Sweetie and Rare's relationship is far more genuine since we do see conflict between the two and how different their way of living is. Heck, we even had two full episodes in which they get angry with one another. But in spite of how much they fight, they still love and want the best for each other regardless. I have an older brother myself, and both Sisterhooves Social and For Whom the Sweetie Belles Toil feature real-life issues I had to deal with for a long while. Unfortunately my relationship between my brother and myself is still very strained, but that doesn't mean we hate each other. As a result, I still enjoyed watching those two episodes just for how realistic it is.

 

A relationship between two siblings in the real world will always have it's ups and downs, but you can't dwell on the negative thoughts all the time. That is how I see Rarity and Sweetie Belle's relationship.

Applejack and Applebloom appear together more, so I feel like they get more developement together. I'm goin Applebloom. Raritybelle is still cute though.

Even if she did, that's super common among siblings. Sometimes it takes awhile for someone to appreciate what they have and that makes Rarity more "human" than Applejack in a way. Not everyone starts out with having all their ducks in a row.

The are both believable and genuine but they are very different. It's a little hard to fairly compare two separate relationships that are so inherently different at their core.

 

Rarity&Sweetie have a rather common older sibling vs younger sibling relationship. AJ&AB on the other hand is very unique in that AJ helped to raise AB, so AB sees AJ more as a mother figure than as an older sister. AB more than likely doesn't remember her parents, while SB was raise alongside Rarity by their parents. It stands to reason that AJ&AB would be closer than R&SB are considering the added struggles they had to endure.

I think the reason why Applejack and Applebloom seems less likely to get into an argument is because Applejack isn't just her older sister she is also a kind of mother figure to Applebloom since their parents are dead and that also brings them closer together.

Definitely Rarity and Sweetie Belle. My relationship to my older sister (as well as other sister relationships I've seen) act just like Sweetie and Rarity. I'm sure there are sibling relationships like that of Applejack and Apple Bloom, (and it's not like they haven't had a conflict before, 'Somepony To Watch Over Me' is still an episode that exists) but it still seems too close to be more believable than a relationship that fights a decent amount.

Well Sweetie and Rarity do argue more, but when Applejack got shrunk down to Appletiny, her little sister dumped her in a bush in scary dangerous Everfree and ran off..

This is a tough choice, Jack and Bloom's relationship seems a bit perfect right? The thing is, that is not uncommon I don't think. For example, I have an older brother, infact he is 11 years older than me and we never fought about anything, ever. Granted he is a supremely chilled out kinda guy but still, we never really fought. So that is possible and Applejack and Bloom seem to be connected so well with each other. On the other hoof, Sweetie Belle and Rarity have their issues, but to me that is something that strengthens their bond as well. They have their differences and conflicts, but in the end, they do love each other and care about each other as siblings should, despite any differences that they may have. 

 

So...tough decision, but I like Rarity and Sweetie Belle more, I think their relationship is a bit more complex and it is also is a bit cuter in my opinion.

I have to say that I like the sisterhood of Rarity and Sweetie Belle more than Applejack and Apple Bloom.

It just feels more emotionally engaging to me and we've actually had two episods that I really like focusing on them (Sisterhooves Social and For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils)

Mmm.....I just realized I left Pinkie Pie and Maud out. I could also include Twilight and Shining Armor, but honestly the most I can even understand with their relationship is that song from A Canterlot Wedding.

 

Though the mist recent pinkie pie episode, I did get a little something from them.

Well despite being shown more, Applejack and Appleblooms relation is pretty much exactly the same as it was at the start of the series, pretty much perfect compliments to one another expect when Applejack gets over protective. This is cute and all but it makes it kind of well... boring a lot of the time. In 

 

Sweetie and Rarity's relationship is shown less,has clearly grown since the start of the show, we've seen them struggle with being better sisters toward each other, there's episodes dedicated toward that on both ends. And the fact that their personalities are pretty different, yet Sweetie still idolizes Rarity while Rarity tries as hard as she can to be the best sister she can be. It makes for a more engaging and entertaining relationship. I think it's much more easily relatable too.

And it's because of this why I knew it'd be  touch decision for some but also knew Rarity and Sweetie Bell would be chosen. As I stated before, nothing is more interesting than witnessing the growth and conflicts both within a character and between two characters which is what we have seen between Rare and Sweetie. 

 

The apple sisters are very genuine in my opinion, but when it comes to "growth" we don't see much. Someone made a comment about how Applebloom left her big sister in the Everfree forest defenseless. I see that more as a gag than any real implication of their relationship. In fact, their interactions within the Zecora episode pretty much foreshadowed the episode "Somepony watching over me". 

 

Because of the absence of the Big Mac/Applejack/Applebloom's parents (whether they are alive or not), I can see WHY the sisters are so closely knit together. It could be that Apple see herself responsible for Applebloom in everything that happens to her despite some things not being her fault. In a way, this pretty much affects their relationship.

 

 

With Rarity and Sweetie bell, both parents are at least shown to be alive and around. Their relationship isn't affected from anything outside of their own personal values and personality.
