Do you hate something in the show? I do

Hi. I'd like to talk about things that you hate in the show, and things that really made it worse, or maybe even made you hate the world of Equestria compelitely.

I, personally, hate the show from the beginning to the end, even if I cannot just stop watching it (see an analogue between Gollum and the Ring. He hates it, but cannot help himself).

Things I hate there are obvious for anyone, who watches that, but I will list some of them.

Like inequality, discrimination, distopya, hatred, lies, a huge bunch of social issues. I started to watch the show, and I wanted a happy, enjoyable setting, not that thing it became. I've got my own problem, and I don't want to see them in MLP.

What things you hate about the show?

I do believe the show has a nice enjoyable setting, but then again this is only my opinion. Odds are, the only reason why you see and ONLY see the show that way is because of a personal issue (im only saying this because you stated you have your own problems). And to be honest, the perspective on a show being affected by personality and internal conflict is very common among...well...everyone.

However, i try not to let that affect my opinions of the show. With that being said: I sometimes find myself a bit irrtated when an episode doesnt have a solid plot. I also get annoyed at how the writers will either downplay a character, or force them to be overthetop.

I also wish the show was more consistent in character development

(Mobile so excuse the typos)

You hate the show because Equestria has problems and isn't a pure, perfect, boring as fuck utopia? Sure, ok

I dislike some episodes but that's about it

Hmm, your opinion on why you hate the show seems a little unclear. By 'that thing it became', do you mean it's too perfect, or is it the fan service?

But to answer your question, I do think that the humour isn't amazing. It's certainly good, but it isn't my kind of humour. There are also some episodes that I dislike, but I don't downright hate them. Otherwise I think that MLP:FiM is one of the most refreshing cartoons in ages. It's always nice to have a lighthearted show to balance out all of the dark shows.

Are you serious? I WISH Equestria was more like you described it, that would be so much more interesting. Equestria used to be so engaging and mysteriously magical in the beginning and now it's become repetitive and dull. Just look at some of the episodes this season and how they're basically just reiterating concepts from earlier seasons(most likely from a lack of creative inspiration on the part of the writers, thanks Hasbro). Once in a while we'll get some solid character development or world building but not often. There's only so far you can go with the same characters in a set world with a set style and format.

I don't really hate anything about the show but I'm starting to feel like my love for it is becoming tired and empty. -_-

The truth is always rough.

I mean it became far worse. In an opposite sense of perfect.

Cheesy hugs. For Celestia's sake, no! STOP IT!

Also, slight concerns over the theme song. Could be better.

The settings are more than good for me because many of the conflicts and problems are real in my life and I can reflect to what I experience - and it changed my way (somehow) to meet or treat my pals. And who doesn't like coloured ponies?

Well, The thing is, If I start on what I hate, I think it's just going to annoy people as this was stated and restated all through season three. I like the show's magical girl aspects and its adventure aspects, and I really want them expanded on. At the same time, I HATE shows that single out a single character, slather on attention like nobodies business and then kick the others to cheer squad status.

As such, I've grown to LOATH twilight (and sunset shimmer as well due to her turning into Red version twilight for all intents and purposes). I feel that following S2, the writers began utterly drowning Twilight in attention and special sueness while utterly ignoring or kicking the others to the curb, and the fact that pretty much all two parters and movies have had to revolve almost completely around her, combined with her Season 4 tendency to show up and lecture others about their problems really killed all interest in her.
This is something I noted mainly to start in S3-- The crystal empire is probably what I'd rank as THE WORST episode of FIM due to the hamfisted and transparent way where they kick the others into the background and frame the plot in a very, very poor way so as to make it as close to a twilight solo episode as possible. Back in S2's premier they had Celestia talking about how ALL of the six had grown and a decent amount of group focus. Now, if that happens its a miracle and out of the ordinary.

I've come to accept that the show has drifted from what I had hoped for and never will return to the s1/S2 roots. But I still dislike it.

A lot of Pinkie Pie's jokes? xD

I can agree there. alot of the time it seems the team just goes with "Pinkie does something random" as her thing, which can be very annoying.

I think pinkie works best when they show that, for all her craziness, she's got alot going on in her head and truly cares about those around her: The end of party pooped with her party cave and her crying for example was great.

I finally figured out what I honestly hate about the show.

IT NEEDS A FLUFFLE PUFF VS PINKIE PIE EPISODE

The only things I don't like are the not-so-great first impression that Season 1 makes, the puns, and how everyone says "somepony" or "everypony".

It looked like they were gradually downplaying it in season 2 by sometimes putting in "someone" or "people", but the voice actors just had to say "No! They have to say some-PONY!"

But that's just my interpretation of what I remember hearing. I wasn't there.

Not enough focus on the other ponies like Trixie or Bon bon or Vinyl or Thunderlane or Flash and not enough Celestia and Luna.

Pinkie putting down fluttershy for humour

Twilight won'y be outliving her friends...so does that mean somepony else will become an alicorn princess of friendship after Twilight? It makes her title less meaningful...

The UST between Applejack and Rarity

So little of equestria has been explored. Hopefully this will be addressed in later episodes

Well I still can't stand granny Smith. She is such a generic old lady character. And a lot of Applejack's episodes have a large focus on her. And I'm sorry but does the OP really just want a show with constant happiness where nothing bad happens?

No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me.

I got better things to do with my time than to waste hating it on fictitious concepts or engage in petty insecurities over how characters are treated.

The one where we had an anime battle? Yes. But in the end all is well and happy again. :)

Yeah but doesn't that happen in every single story ever told ever? There has to be a conflict for anything to be interesting.
