Why do people think Celestia will send them to the moon?

Methinks that fear arose from the fact that Celestia apparently didn't think of anything else other than sending her own sister to the moon for 1,000 years. Maybe it was the only thing she could do but it seems rather odd. Like maybe trying a different tactic? Maybe she could, maybe she couldn't. Well, I am just unsure of it. I do not dislike Princess Celestia in any way, but I do feel as if her disaster preparations are lacking severely. Considering she and the other princesses could not do anything to stop most of the things plaguing Equestria.

As there may come a time when Celestia won't be there to watch over Equestria, and to maintain peace and balance, it will be up to Twilight to watch over and keep the forces of good and evil in check..

 

Celestia could still be on the sidelines watching and waiting to swoop in and save the day, should Twilight fail.. but Twilight has shown to succeed even though the hard times..

 

If Celestia were to interfere, Twilight wouldn't get strong, and wouldn't be ready when the time comes.. that being whenever Celestia isn't there for whatever reason..

Like if she's busy in another dimension.. like smooching it up with Good Sombra in that opposite dimension xD

Well, you do make a valid point. However, they should have done something with the Tirek incident. Cause that was not only a matter of training Twilight, but of protecting other ponies within their nation as well.

They did do something.. They sacrificed their own freedom, and bestowed all their power to Twilight in an attempt to save Equestria and "the lands beyond it" because if they were to fight, they'd just be bringing the Alicorn magic to Tirek for him to just absorb.. and doom Equestria forever..

Also, they decided to put all of that powerful magical capabilities all in one place... instead of spreading it out and giving Tirek a harder time of finding it. And, they did not also break the glass which clearly displayed Twilight as an alicorn, right where Tirek could see it.

according toe the journal of the two sisters, luna and celestia both relied heavily on starswirl the bearded for guidance. They slowly grew into their roles. Probably why luna has still had trouble adjusting as celestia has had 1000 years of more experience than luna.

 

They also noted the star on the tree and knew that eventually they had to wait for that pony to HELP them rule. All three of them have to rule TOGETHER.
