Maybe it was the only thing she could do but it seems rather odd. Like maybe trying a different tactic? Maybe she could, maybe she couldn't. The death thing is possibly a minus (Lulu servived in an environment known for not having oxygen for 1000 yrs, so maybe it has oxygen or mybe Equestrians can survive on magic only, who knows, maybe we could survive on the moon). I do not dislike Princess Celestia in any way, but I do feel as if her disaster preparations are lacking severely. I do not dislike Princess Celestia in any way, but I do feel as if her disaster preparations are lacking severely. Considering she and the other princesses could not do anything to stop most of the things plaguing Equestria. Or maybe.. just maybe.. Celestia is purposely doing this to train Twilight to be strong and fight with her own strength.. As there may come a time when Celestia won't be there to watch over Equestria, and to maintain peace and balance, it will be up to Twilight to watch over and keep the forces of good and evil in check.. Celestia could still be on the sidelines watching and waiting to swoop in and save the day, should Twilight fail.. but Twilight has shown to succeed even though the hard times.. If Celestia were to interfere, Twilight wouldn't get strong, and wouldn't be ready when the time comes.. that being whenever Celestia isn't there for whatever reason.. Cause that was not only a matter of training Twilight, but of protecting other ponies within their nation as well. They did do something.. They slowly grew into their roles. Probably why luna has still had trouble adjusting as celestia has had 1000 years of more experience than luna. They also noted the star on the tree and knew that eventually they had to wait for that pony to HELP them rule. All three of them have to rule TOGETHER.
