For you bronies: when you have a music instrument to play with (i.e. violin, flute, trumpet, xylophone, drums, or the percussion set) and also the piano, what songs do you play for the recital/concert? You may share your thoughts here if you like! :)

Let me see if I can remember what we're currently playing...

Christmas Collage

Christmas Favorites

Carol of the Bells

The Barber of Seville Overture - Rossini (my favorite by far)

Waltz from Swan Lake - Tchaikovsky

I know we have to play Christmas music and all, but all three of these I have played in previous years... And to be blunt, none of those three are appealing in the least. I'm not blaming the director and am grateful to be in the orchestra, but I'm sure we could find something more exciting. Maybe there just isn't anything at his disposal. lol

Hey there Allen. Since the subject of your topic is referring to music, I'm moving it to the media discussion thread.

Thank you for that advice in this thread, Cody. Also, what kind of music do you play for the concert (if you have an instrument to play with)?

What concert are we talking about here?

The winter orchestra concert in the evening such as you're playing or singing a Christmas song "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" for everyone to hear in the performance.

I've not heard of this winter orchestra concert sadly.

Oh boy, Sleigh Ride. =P I haven't played that since concert band several years ago, actually. We haven't played it in community orchestra, I'm kinda shocked.

A set designer i once knew told me about this rehearsal one time.an actor was wearing a lapel mic which was transmitting to the speakers and had an impressive range. He just finished a particularly important part of the recital and without warning ran out of the theater to a bathroom just around the bend to pee. The problem was he forgot to take off the lapel mic, so the sound of him urinating was broadcast in the theater. Everyone there that day was crying laughing.

I had to throw that out there. Sorry.

And that’s the bottom line, ‘cause Stone Cold said so!
