melody5697 195 December 10, 2015 Share December 10, 2015 I was just wondering if there are any blind bronies and how exactly that works. Are you blind, or do you know of any bronies who are?

melody5697 195 December 10, 2015 Author Share December 10, 2015 If they're blind, how do they use a computer? There are computer programs that read the text on the screen out loud. There are probably other things as well. I don't really know the details. But I know blind people can use computers. I know a Brony that is 100% blind, but I have never talked to him in SUCH the longest time. Does he just listen to the show? Does somebody have to explain what's happening on the screen?

I've heard of that, but I read that not all shows have that and I didn't know whether or not MLP had that. It's good to know that if I ever go blind I can continue to enjoy My Little Pony.

Lol, no ignorance shown in my opinion, all you did was ask a question. Basically it is a version of the show that explains what the characters are doing Physically. 2 signature made by myself. It basically describes what is going on in the show. Kinda offtopic, but I admit that when I'm bored I like to listen to the Visually Impaired versions of DVDs in the background while I work. Weird, I know. What exactly does this version do? Is it just audio? Sorry for my ignorance. I don't know any blind people. Basically what someone else said. There is an audio track of a person speaking, overlayed with the show's audio. They would probably say something along the lines of (going theoretical here): "Rainbow Dash walks into Sugarcube Corner. Pinkie Pie is at the counter." Then cue Pinkie saying something to RD. "She shoves a cupcake in Rainbow's mouth." It must be kinda difficult to make those since they have to try their best to make the commentary not overlap with the dialogue. Also, any similarities between that example and a certain fanfic are purely coincidental. Lithophila 291 December 11, 2015 Share December 11, 2015 (edited) I am sorry to hear if some are truly blind. But i don't know how a blind person can be able to use a computer if they cannot see. I'm not blind but I was in middle school for blind and people with eye disease and there weren't any blind bronies except me I remember that almost anybody who wasn't blind hated me for being brony, thats I prefered to talking with blind people, they don't hated me. That's awful to hear It says something when you lose something you are more grateful for stuff you have. Its those kindness that one need to remember. Pure of heart, just loving for whoever you are. I could not find a word how to describe this but i can give thanks to God for this gift at least...'''
FizzyGreen 909 December 12, 2015 Share December 12, 2015 He has a certain version of the show that is meant for the Visually Impaired. It basically describes what is going on in the show. So... it's basically written like book then? "You are right Starlight, you are more talented in magic than me. But talent doesn't mean, that you are privileged to have more power. It's the heart! All you need, to have power, is a heart!"

ARagY 1,153 December 17, 2015 Share December 17, 2015 At this point in time I'm half blind and I'm looking at losing my other eye, as well. I feel lucky I at least know how the ponies look, so even if I do really lose my sight, I can still hear their pretty voices. I would say sometimes they help cope with the very real reality of me losing my other eye. At the moment I'm learning Braille. I don't really know where to find descriptions for blind people of shows, but I should also look into that. To each their own

The funny thing about him is that he DRAWS ponies, it may look like kindergarten work but for someone who is blind that is a major achievement. signature made by myself.
