Has anyone been to BUCK?

Hi all,

 

I was just wondering if anyone has been to BUCK (the British brony con)?

 

If so what can I expect? I've never been to a brony con before. I've done MCM and other comic cons but I wasn't sure if it was kinda the same format.

 

I'll be going on my own also as no one I know in person has any interest so would that make the experience any less enjoyable?

The answer is no. Usually at brony conventions, if you participate a maximum, you can meet LOTS of new people to hang around with in the convention. You can either approach a certain group and ask them if you can hang out with them since you came on your own (present yourself firstly of course).

Edit: Also, the vast majority of the bronies at conventions are VERY friendly and happy to meet new people, with whom they can hang around with as well. So don't be shy, and say hi to a few ones and try to engage a conversation.

I'll be going alone like I did to Bronycon. Don't worry though, you'll bump into random people all the time while waiting in line, at the bus stop, bar, or wherever.

 

I met up with the BC security staff on the thursday night by accident after pre-reg finished and went on a crazy drinking sesh where I met a man in a white suit cosplaying Berry Punch, and me and Final Draft talked to a vendor guy about his item pricing for the weekend.

 

Anything can (and probably will) happen.
