Cannot Log In Using Computer

Hello, sorry to bother anyone but I needed to ask about something! I can only visit MLP Forums on my iPad. It's most likely an issue that can be blamed on my own computer, however, I decided it was best to inquire about the issue. I simply cannot use my computer to go to this site. It says that the site is down and will be back up soon, and suggests that I should check the Poniverse Twitter page for progress in solving the problem of the website's downtime. Does anyone know what could have gone wrong?

@Wolves, that is not normal. Have you tried clearing your Browser's cachè? It may solve your problem or not, but you lose nothing for trying.

Okay, yeah. I haven't been able to get onto the site for the last two weeks thanks to this problem. It always brought me to the page that said the site was down and to check twitter or the status.io page (which said the site was still in maintenance and scheduled to finish eight days ago).

 

I was able to get onto the site just now by using my profile's URL and found this topic. I cleared my cache as Lightwing said and it now lets me get to the site again when using the main site URL (which is how I was trying to get on before). Definitely try to do that.

 

I thought it strange that the site was offline for so long!

I've actually been having the same problem for months now. (I didn't have the iPad when the problem started.) Just today, I tried some things to fix the problem (having realized that the site wasn't actually down) and none of them worked. I've cleared my cache, updated my web browser (Firefox), and updated flash (not that that one was likely to be the issue).

Edit: Yes! It worked! I'm so sorry for inquiring about such an easily solvable issue... I've never had to clear my cache before due to an application I previously had on my computer that did so for me. I assumed I had reinstalled it after my PC crashed, but it seems not, which is why I decided to ask about the reason I couldn't access the site. Sorry, again!

I've never had to clear my cache before due to an application I previously had on my computer that did so for me. I assumed I had reinstalled it after my PC crashed, but it seems not, which is why I decided to ask about the reason I couldn't access the site. Sorry, again!
