Could there be more adult industries in FiM?

Realistically, such things that fall into "adult entertainment" ("toy" shops, sex trade, etc,) will never be shown in the series- in spite of many episodes showing or referencing war, slavery, alcoholic beverages, attempted forced reform/brainwashing (by Twilight, and Cadance, no less), Military inspired characters and races, communism, concentration camps, and even death a few times.

 

But sex does exist in MLP (how else would we have gotten the Mane 6, because they DO have parents) and has also had its consequenses given episodes (Baby Cakes, and Cadance's baby episode) so while sex shops, sex slave trade, etc. might not ever be mentioned or referenced in the series, do you think that they also exist in Equestria?

If these things do exist, I bet they are a much more low-key industry in Equestria. I have no doubts that the ponies may have their own sexual wants and whatnot so there probably exists something out there that we will never see.

The only creatures who are having sex for fun are humans ... and dolphins (at least i heard that once, lol).

but horses in Equestria are as intelligent as humans in our world. They have parties for fun, they freak out over celebs, they rage war, si who's to really say that they don't treat intimate matters as something beyond its intended purpose?

 

And even if it was done solely to conceive, the act in itself is supposed to be plain and boring, and not fun or creative, by everypony, so such an industry would never have need to exist? Kinda sad, everyone ossibly not even able to enjoy being spontaneous or creative with their marriage mate, and all sex is boring and samey

I'd say sex shops and toys probably exist, and what I'd like to think is...That it's not a big deal. Sex is just sex, it's part of life. People do it for love, reproduction, fun, whatever. It can have negative consequences when not done safely, but it's not a bad thing by any means, as long as it's done between consenting individuals of the right age. Things like Prostitution wouldn't be a big deal either, since there's no real reason for them to be.

 

 As for Sex slaves...I'd say maybe some of the villains like Sombra could have done things like that, though I doubt it's legal in Pony society...Though Rainbow did almost sell Flutters into slavery in "Trade Ya!"...Oh dear...

 

 Anyway, we'll never know for sure, because it's a cartoon written to be appropriate for kids. So really, Headcanons are all we've got.

Since you mentioned it... I think that people take that piece of nonsense from Trade Ya a bit too seriously and I like to hope that Twilight would put a stop to it. But... Yes. It's there and, again, I'd like the writers to be a little more careful with what they put on screen.

Yes, we may not have had sex mentioned in MLP but romantic relationships have and they have treat them much like humans do so it is reasonable to assume that they also have similar views about sex. Some are likely more conservative and reserved while others are likely more open depending on the individual. Pornography and sex toys definitely exist, prostitution probably also exists though whether it is legal or not is about 50/50.

That is not exactly true, bonobo chimps are the most notorious sex fiends in the primate world. They screw to say hello, to solve conflicts, pretty much everything you can think of. Also several animals have been discovered to actually masturbate (why do you think dogs hump peoples legs for example?) and homosexual behavior is also common in many species and some animals have even engaged in necrophilia, all acts which don't result in reproduction. The difference between humans and animals is that animals for the most part follow their instincts while humans are capable of higher order thought which attaches certain ethical and spiritual qualities and ramifications to sexual acts.
