TheMisterManGuy 344 January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 By now, we know The Powerpuff Girls are getting a reboot. However, Craig McCracken has no involvement in the show, and all the girls have been recasted. Not to mention the only other "reboot" currently on Cartoon Network is Teen Titans Go! I can see why people are scared. Me? I'm not scared, nor am I hyping the show up. I'm interested to see if the show will be any good. Unlike Todlers and Titans, the people behind the reboot seem to know what they're doing as they apparently grew up with the show, and judging from the screens, they seem to capture the spirit of the original. As opposed to Titans where the creators never even watched an episode of the original series and turned it into a souless cash grab designed to pander to children. What I expect will happen is the show will take the Steven Universe route by having a bigger focus on story arcs and character development, while still having a playful tone. In which case, I actually wouldn't mind. With that said, what are your thoughts?
PinkiePie97 913 January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 (edited) Yeah, I don't think it will be as bad as Teen Titans Go! Like you said, most of the crew grew up watching the show while the creators of Teen Titans Go! never saw an episode of the original series. The show is run by Nick Jennings, who was an art director/supervising producer on Adventure Time, which turned out alright. I'm not getting too excited in case it does turn out to be bad, but I'm not worried about that. At the very least, I think it will be decent. Frequency Wavelength 45 January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 I'm actually liking their new sharper look which still stay true to the original unlike Danced Pantsed. I'm relieved that they're not going down the direction of Danced Pantsed, I absolutely hated it. The Japanese version from a while back was okay, having to transform and to keep their identity a secret didn't suit them in my opinion.

vivishy 1,032 January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 I hope it's actually good. I'm super excited for this reboot. Too. I keep watching the Powerpuff girls on Netflix and I still can't believe they ended in 2004, it feels like it was just yesterday. Not really sure any more. Sazama Ichida 2,367 January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 Now all we need is a reboot of Dexter's Laboratory and Ed Edd n Eddy. Then life will be good again. The White Shinigami

Odyssey 5,719 January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 (edited) It's funny to say, because I just finished off a marathon of The Powerpuff Girls from Season 1 to Season 4. In some aspects, watching the series made me appreciate it more as an adult than as a child because of how amazing the humour is. But that being said, I'm keeping a bit of a watchful eye on it. It is exciting to hear that it'll get a reboot, but like with most reboots it probably won't be as good as the original. And with the absence of Craig McCraken and the voice actresses of the girls, it'll be most likely that it'll probably a middle-of-the-road cartoon. But that being said, I do feel as if some of the people at CN have listened to some of the criticisms of Dance Pantsed. From returning to the original art style to the fact that there are actually some solid jokes, I do know that it certainly won't be a bad cartoon. It would just be a simple matter of upping the rating to TV PG. They did it with the Teen Titans reboot (even though it sucks ass) so why not?
