Depends on where you are, or the warm/cold fronts. I'm in New England its pretty cold(as usual). And it just snowed in the middle states. That does not spell warming to me.

It doesn't get that cold in the south, does it?

Not normally, but the past few years however we've been getting decent snowfall around this time of year

It's actually been a pretty mild winter here in the North East, something about El Nino or La Nina. But we've gotten some snow recently.

Woah woah. You're a Texan? Of course it's 65 in winter. I'm from San Antonio and didnt see snow until I was 22. Ten years ago....this....very....night. well year, but whatever

You're from Texas too?

I remember seeing snow a few times when I was younger. I think it snowed a little around Christmas a couple of years ago.

20 Degrees and around 15 inches of snow here in Kentucky. Back's still sore from shoveling the sidewalk and driveway. It's not normal for us to have this much snow, though the same thing happened about this time last year.

...But that's just my opinion.

Yep. From San Antonio, moved to NYC in 05 and probably moving back with my family this year.

The last big snow there was 1985, before I was two...so no memory of it. 13 inches of snow shut the city down completely.

I think global warming might be real.

You have to be kidding me. Even though scientists have proven it over and over again and places around the world have been hitting record temperatures in heat! How did you not think it was real before hand?!

It is currently 37 degrees here in Indiana and it has been immensely cold in the past week, with temperatures in the teens and wind chills below zero. It is going to warm up a bit, into the 40's, but it has definitely been more winter-like than in the past few years for us.

I feel the the temperature disparity is not indicative of anything but I do think that global warming is happening.

Well, note that 'Global Warming' does not necessarily mean it will be warmer. It just means the weather will be crazier.

However, I will say where I live it definitely has amounted to pretty much being warmer, and not much else. We did have a huge ice storm in December of 07, and an extremely bipolar winter following it, and in 2009 and 2010 (going into 2011) we had lots of snow. We broke the record total snowfall record in 2009/2010 and then again in 2010/2011! And we SHATTERED the overall record low following the massive amount of snow there in early 2011.

...But since that the winters have been warm and the storms have either been missing us or have been hitting us with rain. Not even kidding, we haven't even gotten an inch of any form of winter precipitation this year.
