Sigh, the reason why there are alot more female lead roles in this is because it is written for little girls, again for the millionth time that is not a jibe just fact x). This probably makes it more relateable to the target audience where as things like DBZ or DBZ GT are nearly all male lead roles because it is targeted at boys. Sexism, etc has nothing to do with it and people need to stop working in these adult related topics into a bleedin' kids show. 

 

Tho' it would be nice to have some more male roles in it or upgrading the current ones, like Soarin for example could get more screen time in wonderbolt related episodes. Though there are alot of good male roles like Braeburn, Big Mac, Shining armor too.

I wouldn't mind it, but there needs to be a reason for it.  I wouldn't just want it to be shoehorned into the plot.  Also, I wouldn't want them to be some OP character that is 'the best' at everything, and also no royalty.  I always found the notion that all Alicorns have to be royalty to be kind of dumb, and they need to show that you don't need to be royalty to be an Alicorn.  Even if the Alicorn isn't male, they need to do this at some point, because this generalization is extremely silly (even though it isn't really royalty, and more of a formal title, like being knighted, it's still silly).

Not really, no. Dudes are pretty much dominating media, whether it be cartoons, live action shows or movies. It's refreshing having a powerful set of beings be all female. Complain about girl power all you want, but frankly, there's not enough of it going around.
