This is one of these games that I can play, do nothing there and only listen to this music :)

I'd probably go with Civ. A lot of the tracks on it are really nice, and 'I Vow to Thee, My Country' fills me with patriotic pride.

Ooh, good one - I'd never noticed that in Civ (I tended to put volume to 0 and put a podcast or audiobook on.)

I really enjoyed AI War - Fleet Command's music (also featured in Valley Without Wind 1 & 2) which had an interesting mix of melancholy and upbeat tracks.

Sunless Sea also had some pretty good tracks too.

Whisper, The City of Darkness;    Carto Sketch  - The Dark Millennium

Participating in this RP can be agonizing sometimes.

A lot of songs i love are from videogames.. Some i remember for the music..

Some I even remember the feelings i felt when i played it when the song plays..

I love the theme that plays at the start of Ori and the blind forest

I also love this one from PMD2..

It never fails to reminds me of that sad scene..

And thus, Never fails to make me cry..

In fact I love most of the songs from PMD2.. Despite being a DS game,

the music was very well composed.. I'd list more I like but I don't wanna fill

up the page with a video link for every one of my favorites

But yeah..

I you would have asked me that question a month ago I would have said that either The Legend of Zelda or Halo had the best soundtrack. Now, I would have to say just about anything from Undertale. Especially Spear of Justice, and Hopes and Dreams.

Yes! I love everything from the Undertale soundtrack, and tbh, I would've put everything from there as my favourite songs, just wanted to put some stuff that isn't as well known. I especially love Spider Dance, Megalovania, Hopes and Dreams, His Song, SAVE the World, and that one theme that plays from the other Undyne fight (has Heroine in the name)

Generally speaking the ones that stand out the most for me are ones with lyrics in a large number of their songs such as Metal Gear Rising and Anarchy Reigns or ones that are extremely creative like Sonic Rush and Nier.

Anarchy Reigns is a bit unique in that you wouldn't expect a game with an entirely hip-hop and rap soundtrack could possibly fit an action game very well but they make it work. Like this one, the final boss theme:

This song alone made me replay through the game just to fight the final boss at times. For the longest time it was my single favorite final boss theme of all time. Wild Arms 5's final boss theme has replaced it for sure. Wild Arms 5 had a lot of great boss themes, actually. Like Persophone's battle theme.

Rebecca: Why don't you tell him how you feel already?

Persephone: Hah! That's none of your DAMNED business!

Seriously though, I love that theme, and also Fereydoon's theme.

The only one I was kinda disappointed with was Kartikeya's. I expected more from the guy who gave the party so much trouble. FOR A DUDE WHO CAUGHT A SHOTGUN BULLET IN HIS MOUTH.

<_< Of course, then I listen to the song just now and I'm kinda diggin' the music.

I've been craving to play Capcom vs SNK 2, but I can't because my old Xbox doesn't work and the game isn't compatible with the 360(THE ONLY XBOX GAME I HAVE THAT ISN'T COMPATIBLE). Which sucks because I love the soundtrack

The Metal Gear series has some really really neat scores, with my favorites mostly from MGS4, MGS Peace Walker, and MGSV Ground Zeroes. But MGSV Phantom Pain really pulled it off. My original issue with some of the Metal Gear Soundtracks is the large amount of discordant, I get that it's for tension but I guess I'm just not a big fan of long tracks of discordant, at least to that extent.

But this score in particular is amazing, it's not really because it's exceptionally more well done compared to many other very well done scores, but because towards the end of the score (Around 4:46 of the first clip below) there is a hidden track of an epic and more desolate version of MGS Peace Walker's main theme played backwards. Certainly gave a very strong sense of angst and sorrow, considering the context in which this track was played.

Here's the score reversed by the user who uploaded the previous clip, with the epic and more desolate version of MGS Peace Walker main theme at the beginning of course.

Considering that Peace Walker is the first Metal Gear game I've physically played back in 2010, this score has a very special meaning to me. My experience with building the Mother Base of MSF in Peace Walker only to watch it getting destroyed in Ground Zeroes, then rebuilt in the names of Diamond Dogs, only to again suffer yet another harsh blow resulting in a bitter yet nostalgic feeling while executing your soldiers one by one while they salute to you. For the first time in a long long time I was literally in tears. Well played Kojipro, well played.
