I don't think that's a good argument. Even for a show who's main thing is about friendship, love, and forgiveness, you still need to draw the line somewhere and realize not everyone can be redeemable/forgiven easily, especially when the show has a history of making unbelievable redemptions like Trixie's. On top of that I don't think Suri would be a character that would work with a redemption angle.

 

Besides, there are just some characters work better as antagonists/villains imo

Trixies redemption was not unnatural, she was in her first episode just a bit of an egoistic that did not cause the danger, then she got understandably mad even though it was wrong and to a wrong person and wanted to restore her reputation. And then got corrupted by an amulet.

 

I think all the villain redemptions actually work and they are differnt. Well it does not fundamentally make sense that someone named Discord could be redeemed when Harmony is such a main theme but it is just his name that really is an issue. Chaos would be more fitting. And Starlight's redemption was too fast but she was clearly stuck as much as Twilight and did not want an apocalypse and was relieved that somone could show her previous midsey was wrong. The main problem is that there is too many redemptions at this point.

I'm also hoping for a new Kazumi Evans performance.

O I think it's near certain. Rarity ALWAYS seems to get a solo song in her "business" related episodes, from Suited for Success, to Sweet and Elite, to Rarity Takes Manehattan and Canterlout Boutique. 

I will say, however, that I like the contrast between Canterlot and Manehattan. Canterlot is home to the rich, higher class ponies, while Manehattan ponies are more of the working class.

 

I like how the locations in the show are distinct from each other.

Well it's Pony New York, it's obviously a diverse place with ponies of all walks of life and economic class, we've seen the Rich Manehattanites and the regular old Manehanittes.

Well, looks like we'll be seeing some more Manehattan, i would love to see some more world-building and more monsters honestly, but then again, things like the slice of life formula helped make the series strong in its early years, so i don't have much trouble with it. Plus, the synopsis sounds interesting and there's the possibility that Suri Polomare will return, no doubt she wants revenge, and maybe we'll get to see some more Coco Pommel! But yeah, i'm a bit wary of the whole redemption thing though.

Anyway, as random as this sounds, i'd love to see a reference to Gremlins 2:The new batch, heh heh.

If Suri does appear......."Rarity finds out that Suri is behind the story.....Rarity talks to Suri....Suri gets reformed and becomes the manager of "Rarity For You"" Calling it right bucking now.

Rainbow Dash episodes are overrated, honestly how many episodes do we need about her and the Wonderbolts? It's getting repetitive.

 

See what I did there? it's her freaking character line, same as Dash and the bolts. And frankly for both Dash and Rarity they usually get 1 "advancement" episode per season (and maybe some stuff in the backdrop of other episodes) and then like 2 or 3 random shinnanigans episodes. I mean last season, what did Rarity have? 1 episode about expanding her business.. And then an episode where she played Noir Detective and then an episode where she helped put a Play together.

Anyway this is instantly the episode I am looking forward to the most, Rarity pretty much never disappoints, even her weakest episodes are at worst decent. So I always can go in with utter confidence she'll deliver again.

Thinking about it, we're kind of low on songs so far this season; We didn't have one in the premier, and those almost ALWAYS have songs. So we just have one so far this season

I know its early in the season but we're still noticeably at a lower number than normal. I wonder if that's  due to more time and effort having to be done on the movie's songs?

So much for Exploring Equestria.

The worst Rainbow dash episode was Mysterious mare do well, which was FAR worse though

Big dash fan here, but I have to give rarity credit in that her episodes, while not always hitting a "homerun" tier tend to hit the "crap" territory less than the other 5's.

Well, the theme this year seems to be "redoing a previous episode's idea" & this one is Made in Manehatten.  So far, they've been good episodes, so here's hoping
