I consider my family to be my friends, the same way I consider my friends to be my family. Whether or not we're related by blood I still care about them all. Family comes with built-in friendship because that’s just nature. And I usually ‘adopt’ friends and make them family, even if it’s not ‘official’.

I subdivide the category friends in  close, no so close and distend friends. I consider my family as close friends. In reversal I would also think of close friends as part of family. It goes without saying that close friends for me a pretty rare.

Yes, some of my closest family members are my friends. My sister is my best friend. My grandma was a close confidant. Some of my cousins, too, I get along with like friends.

Only my sister. Everyone else is just family because A) It's weird to consider parental figures your friends and B ) I don't hang out with my cousins as much as I did when I was a kid.
