Why didn't Fluttershy introduce Starlight to Discord?

In No Second Prances, why did Fluttershy introduce Starlight to her animals and not Discord? Not only is Discord sapient, unlike the animals, so it would've been less of a sight if she had gone to the dinner with him instead of, say, Angel or Harry, but he's a sometimes struggling reformed antagonist, just like her. It would've been a good lesson for both of them.

I think this sort of introduction needs its own episode so I think A.V. is right on this one. They are most likely saving it for its own time to shine, whereas in No Second Prances would have been too cluttered for it.

Trixie was suppose to be the one who's returned and focused on, not Discord. I'll agree with A.V. on a future episode were they may use Discord.

Saving for a different episode,as has been said. Though seems Flutters got the short end of the stick on this episode...I mean every other Mane 6 got to say something and had fair bit of screentime, even if Trixie was the main pony to be focused on. Fluttershy didn't get to do much with Starlight. All we got from her was a depressing sigh.

Hopefully we get a Discord and Starlight episode. I can just see Discord teasing Starlight relentlessly, trying to teach her some kind of friendship lesson.

Discord is still finding his own path. Even now he's extremely unstable, plus we've seen how sensitive Starlight is right now. Discord isn't exactly the type to choose his words and actions carefully.

 

Between Trixie and Discord, Discord definitely would have ended more disastrously. Not to mention Trixie and Starlight have a lot more in common and, quite honestly, they definitely make the better pair. Discord's friendships are complicated, and if he's still having trouble keeping in the Mane Six's good graces than I can only imagine how things would go between and him Starlight.

I would love it this was something being saved for a future episode in the season.

But I don't really know if Fluttershy is actually going to get the privilege of getting that kind of focus.

She already has one episode confirmed for her this season, but after season 5, I don't know if she is going to get a good amount of screentime.

I just can't see that ending well. With the fragile state of mind that Starlight still seems to be in, and the way Discord just messes with everybody; it would have led to a mental breakdown or something of the like on Starlight's part. Maybe later in the season once she's a little more comfortable with herself.

Writer said that Discord would have made more sense but just forgot about him. I guess that story editor didn't included him because he will appear with her in the finale.

As others have said, it'll probably be its own episode. Plus, I imagine that reaching Discord takes a bit of time, even for Fluttershy, and Starlight needed to make a friend by that night.
