writing Poetry 'N Stuff

I'm not very big on poetry, but I have to do some for school, so I figured I'd stick a poem I wrote here. If you guys want more, I'll throw out more. 

 

Weight

 

There's a weight on my back.

Not the burden of sins,

Or some great responsibility. 

Just a large black bag

Filled with books and paper.

I don't mean to pressure you, but I'm seriously just doing these on the fly as I remember how these kinds of poems go. To be honest, I have no idea what I'm even doing at this point.

 

Haiku:

Leaves falling from trees

Your body falls to the ground

Life leaving your corpse

 

Limerick:

 

To tread into someone's sound old mind

Is to leave yourself frightened and blind

Though you're enlightened

You seem frightened

By the trauma of one's manic bind

Cinquain:

 

My love

For this fandom

Is so misunderstood

By my family and friends alike

From me

Acrostic:

 

Killer vibes and emotions

Reminded of the horrors of reality

Only joy found in life in the forums

Never understood by his family

Overcome with pressure and sadness

Such is that of his life

I'll throw out another one, and I think a lot of you can relate to this.

 

How Come I?

 

How come I

Can't like a show

That's meant for little girls?

 

Why is watching

A cartoon about ponies

Just so wrong?

 

It seems like I yelled,

"Hail Satan!"

in the middle of Church.

 

Like I've somehow

committed a grievous crime

against nature herself.

 

Because I enjoyed something

that they said

was not for me.

 

I can do what I want,

I can make my own decisions,

regardless of what I'm supposed to do.

 

Just because they say,

"You're not supposed to like that,"

Doesn't mean you shouldn't.
