The Lion King. When I say that people freak out and tell me I didn't have a good childhood. ;p It just wasn't interesting to me.

Frozen, so many people just obsess about that movie and that goddamn song. I thought it was just "Meh".

Independence Day is such a Garbage Movie. It was like one of the biggest summer blockbusters of the 90s, eventhough it was filled with bland characters, lots of special effects (which look very outdated today) and american patriotism, that i totally despise. The only good thing about it, was Will Smith, because Will Smith is Will Smith.

Oh no you didn't. O_o

jk

This may be a tad off topic, but are you saying you despise American Patriotism?

Looks around for Jeric

Star Wars. I enjoyed the newer ones better for a single reason. Ewan McGregor. Oh, and the purple Lightsaber. Because Samuel L. Jackson. I lol'd at that.

It's a bit of a problem for me because:

1. I am not an american in the first place. I am german.

2. I love my country, yes. But i don't consider myself a patriot. I don't feel like standing up every morning to sing the national anthem and i don't feel like bragging about the accomplishments of it. I feel like it's a bit arrogant.

I think there's a significant difference between patriotism and almost claiming the accomplishments of others as a source of pride. I don't believe the latter is patriotism in any sense of the word.

To push it a bit more back to the topic, i think the latter has been accomplished in Independence day. no other country knew what they had to do with the aliens, except for the americans of course. And this whole speech about the 4th of july from Bill Pullman about "fighting for freedom, america is awesome, bla bla bla" things like that rub me the wrong way.

Patriotism can be shown a bit more subtle.

Even though I've never seen it before, I'd have to say Holes. I've read the book, and I liked it, but I don't think I'd like the movie very much.

Not a film (well, there WAS a film but I think most can agree that it sucked) but... I don't like Tom and Jerry :| it has always bored me.

Not all of the films suck. Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry was pretty entertaining.

I Can't bare the Twilight series, my sister loves it, but I think that the book is a badly written book designed to compete with better franchises such as Harry Potter and Narnia.

Ever heard the joke, ''Still a Better Love Story than Twilight?'', well there are plenty of better love stories, like the story of Snake and Otacon from Metal Gear Solid, the story of Sid Vicious and Nancy, WALL-E and EVE, even the relationship between the sofa and a TV and the relationship between a Plug and It's Socket is still a better love story than Twilight.

Really, I don't see why people can't move on to better stuff like COD or whatnot.

This may shock some but I am not a fan of the Lord of the Rings movies - I found them to be too long to keep my interest and I got quickly bored from the get go so I didn't bother watching them further

Grave of the Fireflies springs to mind.

The movie is just a long string of crappy things happening to a couple of mannequin's masquerading as children, and I'm supposed to feel sorry for them.  The movie makes no attempt to give the kids any kind of identifiable personalities and, by extension, make them likable, so I really don't care about them.

It just reads as emotional blackmail; "You have to be sad because they're little kids and all this bad stuff is happening to them!  If you don't feel sad, you're terrible!"

I also think the narrative is weak otherwise.  It's a series of completely unconnected, unfortunate events.  There's no real overarching plot and several elements come and go with no contribution to the story at large.
