general IQ

I took both of the tests on the site, and I got a neat 125+ and 133-149(+?).

I don't think these tests are really accurate though, I mean, statistically the average should lie around the hundred, but I don't see that in the posts here.

I took a IQ test long ago, when I was around 6 years old, and the results said that I had a really high IQ. I don't know what number it was though, because my mother didn't want to tell me then, because she didn't want me to brag about it. She's also lost the results of the test, and doesn't remember it after all these years. So that's a bummer.

I got a 121-137. I think that's probably too low. I used a different test that is more accurate to me, and I got a 146 though that may be a little bit high.

yes it does, that's literally the whole point

whether or not it does it ACCURATELY is up for debate, but you're probably thinking of knowledge or skill, in which case, i'm fucking stupid and have an above average IQ so there's that

What I meant by "it's not the only thing that factors into intelligence" is that an IQ score pretty much represents only one part of your cognitive thinking ability and basic knowledge. There are more factors than that that play into someones intelligence. It's not up for debate if IQ tests are an accurate representation of intelligence. Most scientists and researchers agree with that. That article is just one of many I've found basically saying the same thing. IQ tests are no longer widely used to measure intelligence.

125 or above, all 10 correct. Q3 threw me for a loop for a good 3 minutes, as I sat there in a complete zombie mode mental shut down, then I had this epiphany and it was like my brain was coming to life. My reaction was, "oh.....ooooohh.....OH!"

edit: I really need to grab a double bagged cup of tea from the kitchen area here at work. That'll wake me up

IQ scores do not reflect overall intellect, in fact most national neurological and psychological associations have distanced themselves from most of the tests like these. I'll pop in later and post some scholarly articles on this because it is extremely illuminating when you start to grasp how we absorb and recall information through different channels.

Another reason to not put too much stock in IQ tests is the fact that not everyone 125+ has Rarity as best pony. This is obviously a fatal flaw in the system.
