Wind Chaser 4,768 June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 (edited) Discovery Communications is huge and has a number of properties to fall back on. Discovery Family, however, was a stopgap measure created by Discovery when Hasbro abruptly shut down the Hub. Discovery never had much faith in the channel and never invested in original programming. With the latest Transformers show going to Cartoon Network, there's reason to believe the next lineup of Hasbro shows will be on other networks. As was previously mentioned, Transformers: Rescue Bots is still running on this channel, in its fourth season. It's a considerable commercial success. I'd think that Discovery should consider selling this channel after their current shows end. If I worked for Universal, I'd look at plunking down a good buck for that channel space to leverage the DreamWorks/Classic Media library. Another member of our family likes to watch that cake making reality show. I only ever watch MLP, myself. Tried to get into LPS, but couldn't get past the character designs. Are you talking about Cake Boss? Those shows are reruns taken from TLC. Pretty much all of the non-Hasbro shows on DiscFam are taken from other Discovery networks. There's no original programming on there other than MLP and Rescue Bots. Edited June 6, 2016 by Wind Chaser

I'd love to see Netflix or Cartoon Network pick up MLP: FIM in case anything happens to Discovery Family (especially Netflix). Hasbro knows the show is still popular, and if there WERE any plans for Season 6 to be the end, we'd know by now. They clearly wanna keep it going for a few seasons more. CaptainDoubloon 856 June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 I've seen an episode of Littlest Pet Shop but it didn't hook me like MLP has. I didn't realize LPS was ending today.

Truffles 2,033 June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 Are you talking about Cake Boss? Those shows are reruns taken from TLC. Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I didn't know it was a transplant from TLC! Looks like Rescue Bots and MLP really are the only original shows they have left... I don't see how you can have a network with only 2 original shows. 1 Are you a Spike fan? FlootahBabby 265 June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 I won't be able to watch if it moves to CN. Please don't say that. Not everyone has this channel. On my cable provider it costs $50 dollars per month just to upgrade into the package to get this channel and get crap channels I wouldn't like. It's why I stopped being able to watch Pokemon. Can you watch the episodes online?
Limeblossom 482 June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 The shutdown of The Hub was a bad idea . Japan, where Yo-Kai Watch's second movie has more success than The Force Awakens

Nickelodeon (yes) is another good option. It really seems like they are moving away from their rut with Harvey Beaks and The Loud House, combined with SpongeBob and Sanjay and Craig improving/Breadwinners canceled. Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,800 June 8, 2016 Share June 8, 2016 LPS ended??? I am actually saddened by that. Not because I was into the show or anything, it never caught my interest, but One of my earlier Brony memories was watching the episodes and during the credits, it would mention LPS, which was the first time I was introduced to that incarnation of that franchise too. So it is strange thinking that it is over... As for Discovery Family, I hate that network. They don't seem to treat any of their franchises with respect. The reason? Most likely because they just treats the shows as 'little kids shows' and thus, who needs to give them proper recognition, they are just dumb kids shows! Right? Well, that's how they seem to do it. FiM should be on a better network. I am not saying that The Hub was perfect in that regard, but it certainly was better.
