"Bite down hard on its neck," he instructed, pressing his larger paw down on the sparrow to keep it more still, "keep it tightly in your paws so it doesn't fly off."

Darkpaw did as told and waited further instructions since he couldn't move the sparrow when he was holding it with his paws.

Thunderclan camp @The Cerberus Kitestar watched as Slumberfur walked off to go and find Darkpaw, then heard the rogue call out that the apprentice had left the camp, presumably on his own hunting mission. "I expect that Austere Moon and Owlheart will happen upon him whilst out there, then," she said calmly to Slumberfur and the rogue, ears twitching. "I hope... ad I hope they're back soon." She glared at the rogue, then spotted Poppyfur leaving with Willowpaw. She decided to let the two carry on, seeing as the situation now seemed to be more under control. She asked a couple of the older Warriors to keep an eye on the suspicious loner, just in case, though.

"You are right Kitestar, I wait them to come back and if Darkpaw isn't with them I go." Slumberfur said to his leader. "But where ever he is I trust he is aright." and sat down to edge of the camp.

She knew that Darkpaw was just trying to help, and that he wasn't a kit anymore, but considering the warnings she had put in place and the fact that he should not have gone off alone, the apprentice would have to learn his lesson. "Careful not to bite too hard though, or you might break its neck," Austere offered, though such could take more effort, before continuing, "Try to move your teeth in to grip it tight, right above the wings, and it should help limit movement."

Still, he would offer a look to Owlheart before giving the apprentice some praise despite Darkpaw breaking the rules, "You should have asked if, at least let another cat know where you were off to... but you showed initiative and a willingness to help the clan by seeking live pray yourself."

It almost seemed the warrior said this grudgingly, but it was clearly intended to be honest praise.

Riverclan territory

Moontail saw Jinx leave and then turned around to dig up the herbs she had collected and head back to the Riverclan camp. She picked a few more on her journey back, ad arrived back at the camp to see each cat settling down; aside from those who were going out on the final patrol of the day.

Jinx made quick work of her fish, and discarded the remains behind a bush. She took a deep, contended breath as the cool breeze brushed her soft fur. It was still rather warm.

With a stretch of her legs and a yawn, she rolled onto her side and snuggled down into the grass, warmed by her laying in it, and prepared to sun herself for a while before heading home.

Darkfur had slipped in behind Moonshine and had heard everything the rogue said.

"And what stops us from killing you right here, right now? I thought you'd think better than to threaten a clan inbetween their camp walls. Or are you as dumb as I think you are?" Darkfur made himself comfortable in one of the already set up nests, keeping his wounds exposed so they didn't rub against it and hurt.

Darkfur was good at hiding emotion, but these wounds were seriously starting to hurt. Yet, he wasn't doubting being able to beat this rogue if it came to a one on one.

Featherfur was annoyed by the rude awakening he received from Silverstar; his long for was ruffled and fluffed up, and his legs still ached with sleepiness. "Alright, alright," he muttered to Silverstar, yawning and getting to his paws. He'd barely even heard what his leader had said, but he stumbled out of the Warriors' den, squinting against the sharp dawn sunlight, and joined her with the dawn patrol.

SilverStar glanced at the warriors before tutting at Featherfur's appearance, "is it wear you're nest on patrol day?" she asked ironically, she then led the way out of camp. She led the group towards the start of Riverclan border, she slowed down so she was walking with Featherfur, "so, how is you're apprentice training going?" she asked curiously. "Is she exited to be going towards the gathering tonight, it will be a important one" she remarked.

The patrol had reached the first border marking just before the Twoleg place, Silverstar glanced across towards where Riverclan was, she couldn't see a patrol.

SiverStar nodded, "good we will need her fighting skills. Though don't just focus on Fighting, hunting is important along with the warrior code" she remarked. She looked around the border before continuing along it, she paced around the horseplace, she didn't think anycats lived there, she frowned why didn't she just extend her territory to the riverclan border, she would suggest that at the gathering. "it would be easier if we could patrol up along the RiverClan border, we would get the swamp and that grazing zone, lots of prey and new herbs" she remarked.

Of course the Island was for all the clans, though she thought the swamp would also be useful, the patrols would take the same time as well, though windclan was getting larger, so it was only a matter of time before they had to expand the border. That was the logical choice.

She finished the lask marker herself, "Right back to camp"
