Your opinions on Princess Cadance?

I liked her more in the comics but she still makes for an interesting character in the show.

 

I know she gets a lot of flack for being bland but I'm in the group of folks who think that her relationship with her husband is sweet and actually quite unique. I see way too many couple troupes of the idiot married to the sensible one and I find it nice that the writers decided to have a couple that's a little more on the realistic side.

 

(except for that one time with the Cadence Javelin, I still loved that scene though)

I'd say Twilight and friends were responsible for Celestia's effective disappearance, but it's really the fault of the writers. I agree with the second sentence, though.

I can't blame the main ponies for it, but you're right. It's all the writer's fault.

When Cadance, Luna and Discord were more important to them you can be disgruntled. When they now even play favorites for Nightmare Moon, Starlight Glimmer, Trixie, Chrysalis, Spike and actually everypony else, you could begin to play with the thought raising a middle finger at them and just stop watching. The others shall have fun with possible Miss Pommel or Cheese Sandwich episode. I clearly wont watch that. >:-(

I don't know about her personality but I do love her appearance, she is pink, have long straight hair and is tall wearing shoes, I like it when tall ponies like Luna and Cadance wear shoes and also when they eat, I love seeing tall ponies eat for some reason.

She's beautiful, she's nice, and she loves helping other ponies get love! :3

 

Although, what I don't like about her is that she's too perfect, like Celestia. They never look like they do anything wrong. It's ok to make mistakes once in a while. It makes you a pony. So why you so perfect and never mess up? That's why people like Luna so much! She's more like everypony else.

I don't mind Cadance, but she has to be my least favourite princess in the show, mostly because the writers don't really do much with her. The most significant thing she's done in recent seasons is pumped out a new Alicorn, but we still haven't had a lot of character development on her part. The spinoff media has done quite a bit more with her. It at least suggests that she was A ) a Pegasus before becoming an Alicorn, and B ) possibly a descendant of Princess Amore, which isn't actually a contradiction in the likely scenario that interbreeding has occurred between the three pony species at least at some point in Equestria's history. Granted, that is more back story than character development. However, Cadance also apparently has difficulty getting enraged, so I'd classify that as a character trait. She clearly hasn't been as fleshed out as Celestia in the B canon material, but she's in the same boat as her in that the show's writers don't seem to have any interest in developing her.

Cadance to me just feels awfully underused and developed considering her unique design, the fact she's an Alicorn, and that she isn't significantly older than Twilight and co. (at least judging from appearances). I've just never understood why they haven't thought to utilize her more often. She doesn't even need an episode all to herself, just a few appearances here and there, maybe showing us more of what she does in her life. Would do wonders for her character.

 

So I think there's good potential with her, she just needs more opportunities to use that potential.

I know. The people need to give her copious amount of viewing time. I'd love to see her in every episode for at least 20 minutes. It helps me sleep better at night, too.
