Naw, Trixie's cool. She's just a show biz pony that does what real people in show biz do. Pump themselves up with random impressive, usually false things, to make them look good and to gain an audience.

 

Diamond Tiara is a product of her mother (that's who really should be thrown into Tartarus there).

 

Starlight, however, did extensively commit time crime (I'm sorry, I had no idea how else to say it, lol). Starlight is the obvious one that would spend jail time. But of course, she wouldn't. Even if the crime was a much bigger offense vs what Chrysalis or Tirek did, lol.

On that note, I do agree that Trixie is 100 times more entertaining as a character and foil to Twilight. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded Trixie joining the group and getting more episodes because she's ENTERTAINING. Her personality is just so grandiose and hammy its hard not to enjoy her, plus she's DIFFERENT and has a real niche personality. Rather sad that Trixie has been Superceded by other foils to twilight due to power creep; trixie being twilight's "Rival" now is like Yamcha being Goku's Rival. Sure he was once, but he's kind of gotten left behind.

I agree, Trixie is full of life and she's a fun character to watch. I'd rather see her build the path to success and make friends. Instead we get super special muffins #1 and #2 to swoop in and steal that role.

Well, they kind of did something like that in the comics, in that Twilight was surprised by being told by luna that Starswirl was basically Pinkie pie if she was a unicorn and not the super studious pony she thought he was.

Naw, the comics aren't accepted as canon for the show, far as I know. Might be a little conflicting, if it were.

Eh, side canon to my knowledge; from what I've read of the crew, they basically say "They're canon until the show contradicts them" more or less.

So the show is free to contradict them if they wish, but until the day that they do, the events in the comics are kosher to be viewed as "soft canon".

 

 

That being said, I will admit that the show and the comics have a disconnect on starswirl the bearded: when shown in the show, or in the journal of the two sisters, he's a wise, and slightly stern individual. Which is obviously at odds with the "disney merlin" style starswirl from the comics.

Yeah, I don't know who Mareami is either. I've read every current issue, unless you're speaking of fan made comics.

I'd like to see cannon schizo tech guns of some kind in the comics; magi/steamtech type stuff for their military.

Maybe even an actual Military airship of some kind crewed by unicorns.

We're obviously ignoring the first mission and the introduction of Starlight, but how about Pinkie and Dash getting sent to Griffinstone? That's obviously a benefit to Equestria.

Eh, not really a super important event. Sure Gilda trying to fix things up is nice, but its still not a really super big event in the overall importance of equestria.
