What country/state/city do you think Equestria Girls could be set in?

Well considering it's "Canterlot" High, I imagine that the city it's in is called Canterlot. Obviously this would have to be a fictional city. As to what country, I have no clue, but I've always been of the opinion that the EQG human world isn't our human world, so it could be a fictional country as well.

I don't really think the Equestria Girls universe has countries similar to the real world.

 

Think about it. The humans in Equestria Girls spoke English, and so did Equstrians. When in reality, there is no possible way they would both speak English, unless the human world has only existed for a few generations. Languages drift over time and form into new languages. If the human world's history went back for millenia (like ours) or even a few centuries, ponies and humans would speak a completely different language. So from this we can tell the human world was created only a few generations ago. The human world logically cannot be remotely similar to all, especially politically.
