Can ponies see unicorn magic aura?

The magic aura seems to be 'visible' to others, but not in the same way it's represented on screen for us. Ponies (and probably griffons) don't seem to be able to see the color of the aura, and the aura appears to be a lot dimmer to them than the artists represent to us so it can be washed out by the ambient light of the area. Unless the unicorn is deliberately creating light, of course. They especially don't seem to be able to see the aura on the spell's target.

Spike on the other hand seems to be able to see the aura just fine. That might be a dragon thing.

Hardly incognito, wouldn't you agree?

See that is the thing.  If she WANTS you to know she is performing magic, she can remove the hat.

If she wants to surprise you with magic or do magical stuff in the background, the hat is on.

It keeps the audience focused properly.

You make a fair point, I admit... but that still isn't sufficient evidence for non-unicorns being able to see aura that is not specifically a "light from horn" spell.
