If pokemon were real I'd pray there is no Charizard around, because sadly irl people burned alive tend to die. And I won't even start with Gyarados, who is violent and aggressive by his nature alone XD 

 

It might sound tempting, because who wouldn't want to catch Vulpix? Or even Pikachu? But if we were to analyze pokemon in a scientific way it is a miracle humans aren't extinct in that world. They should've been slaughtered long ago :v Even pokedex entries clearly describe some pokemon as aggressive.

If Pokemon were real organizations like PETA would flip their shit.  And I would expect it wouldn't go well at all with society as a whole.  Just imagine the headlines:

 

The new wave of animal cruelty:  Children force animals to fight for their own entertainment.

 

The cruel cramped confinement of pokeballs.

 

Children skip school looking to capture untamed animals.

 

Dangerous creatures:  What you don't know could hurt your children.

 

Needless to say, it would probably end very badly.
