gaming Classic coin-op arcade game fans?

Anyone still like to play those, either on MAME or Xbox Live Arcade/PSN?

To this day, I still play the classics like TMNT, Simpsons, and X-Men. This was before Konami sucked, back when they were cool.

I almost never see beat-em-up games anymore, they are very low in numbers these days. The only one I usually see people playing is Castle Crashers, which is fun, I will admit.

It is not just beat-em-ups, but also other classics like Donkey Kong and Pac-Man.

I can't really describe it, but the feeling of putting a coin in the machine is so satisfying, being able to get your monies worth from a few plays to see how far you could get before running out of time or money.

Does anyone still like to play these, or is it just me that is nostalgic for the arcade?

Big Retro gaming fan here. Some of the most fun arcade experiences are Beat'em ups, like Final Fight, Knights of the Round or Turtles in Time.

But i also like games like Galaga, Pac-Man, Sinistar or also Tapper (also known as Root Beer Tapper, because Alcohol is bad kids.)

Turtles in Time, I never had a chance to play at childhood, we never had a lot of arcades where I live. I only got to play it on MAME unfortunately, so the experience does not feel the same. Turtles in Time is fun though. ;)

Luckily I got to play Simpsons though, when I was coming out of the IMAX, I saw the machine, and I BEGGED my parents to let me play one quarter worth.. SO WORTH IT. :) :)

Dig-Dug and Galaga are some of my favorite classic arcade titles. :3 I still play those on the One. Now the beat-em-up genre is one I want to play more games for, never experienced all that many back in the day.

If you want a good beat-em-up arcade game, try either Turtles in Time or X-Men (This can play up to 6 players!), maybe a bit of The Simpsons.

X-Men is alot of fun with 5 other people, so when they re-release all these games on the PS4 and XBONE, get them while you can, they are worth the money in the long run!

Are they re-releasing them? :o I actually got the chance to play Turtles in Time in an arcade near here, they have a lot of old-school games but not many beat-em-ups, besides TMNT of course. I twas pretty good fun. :)

No, I am just guessing, it might not happen for while, considering Disney owns Marvel, and 20th Century Fox would have to deal with Konami again, same thing with Disney. It kinda sucks that that is the way the world of copyright works.

I would love to have the marketplaces keep those games permanently so everyone can experience them.

I luckily got TMNT, Simpsons, and X-Men on my Xbox 360, but feel sorry that a lot of users missed out, they will never be able to witness the majesty of the arcade scene in the early 90's... :(

You never know, they could one day go backwards compatible on the One, though we all know that Konami is kinda anti-gamer at this point, but hopefully one day. the X-Men and Simpsons games are ones I would love to try and my 360 went out a long time ago. XD

They used to be cool, what ever happened...? :(

They focus on pachinko, and they fired Kojima... Metal Gear is one of my favorite franchises, and they ruined it with Survive...
